I would have said it as a joke to......
- Brukie

I understand that. But, there is a difference between intending something as a joke and the audience receiving it that way!

#mnwild had something presented from Rangers to trade picks, it appears, but Guerin just turned to their table and said no deal. So Wild taking No. 56

sounds like Rangers tried to trade up to draft Ryan Greene, couldn't do it and Blackhawks took him at #57

He’s a ball of energy tho

“Few players match Sýkora’s intensity on the ice. He’s all-in, every shift. He bounces from opponent to opponent, barely giving them any time to handle the puck, blocks shots like he’s immune to pain, and attacks loose pucks like the fate of the world depends on his ability to catch them. On the backcheck, he pursues escaping opponents and completely neutralizes them.”

TRADE:

To Detroit Redwings:
G Ville Husso

To St. Louis Blues:
2022 3rd round pick (#73)

- jimbro83

This makes Drury look even better for what he was able to recoup for AG. Good for him.

Another LW, I would have been happy with any other position player. Me I would ha e chosen best Center available, but I know the draft is best player available. We just have way too many LW in the system.

#NYR pick Adam Sykora (no relation to former Devil Petr Sykora) said his NHL role model is Brad Marchand, who plays like a rat. Sykora, whose English is great, was happy to say that he plays like a rat.

Hey, if this guy max's out as a 3rd or 4th liner, maybe he can make the transition to C. Should be easier for someone who plays this sort of game. Wonder how his skating is?

Homegrown 3rd/4th liners are important. Cheap roster fillers that can provide energy…sign me up. But who’s to say that’s where he tops out at? Having noticeable players, regardless of position, is a positive.

And like Jim said, he might not even be here for four years, so the makeup of the team can be different by then.

For sure. I only say "if he max's out" there because nowhere in the write up did it mention his puck skills or scoring.
