While I agree with the last part. You’re assuming the primary end goal in that scenario is winning a championship. - Just5

Risto wasnt brought in to help cut down on goals against - THE BLACK HAND
Ranks right up there with giving DeAngelo 5M gives the Flyers 1M more of cap space. My heavens the stupidity.

Our best hope is that Attard has been super focused on playing in structure and that Torts get's with him asap and starts having him drill his positioning with assistants even before camp.

So if DeAngelo get's into a fight with a teammate (you can pick the teammate) do the Flyers eat his 2 year contract like the Rangers did after he got into an altercation with their goalie?
My money would actually be Torts (I know not a player) getting under his skin. With no cap space, no draft picks, nothing in the pipeline, my guess is short of the league suspending him, the Flyers wouldn't do anything. |

As of this moment they $118,560 in cap space. Teams gonna be lining up to give us cap relief to sign Frost and Tippett.
I think Ellis may be done, that would be the only thing that makes sense.

It's looking like Ellis will at least start the season on LTIR. The question is if he becomes ready to play at some point in the season, then what?
Fletcher's not done unfortunately. So we'll see what happens. Remember, Gaudreau is a done deal.

I broke it down:
Risto and DeAngelo cost them:
2021 1st (13)
2022 2nd (36)
2022 4th
2022 7th
2023 2nd
2023 3rd
2024 2nd

I would rather have Ghost and Hagg. Said that from the start.

Remember all the talk during the Holmgren years when the Flyers never hit on a player with a draft pick past the 1st round? Helps to use them. We're back but hey, no influence at all from the country club. This is the way to build a team in the modern day NHL. |

They will do what the Lightning did with Kucherov in 2021 and keep him in bubble wrap until the playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Flyers they won't be in the playoffs but he would be healthy going into 2023 and 2 years removed from his last injury. |

It’s no god no matter how it’s looked at
Either Fletcher is entirely responsible, or the old guard is very much still influencing the overall direction. Bill is putting this all on Fletcher/Flahr I don’t know if I agree with that. |
