I do agree Ellis to LTIR. Unfortunately, I believe Ellis career is over. I do wonder about what the plan Provy will be. I think it is more likely he stays, but moving him now to make room for a Sanheim extension could be the play.

I don't remember the Flyers ever showing more love to Sanheim than Provy. If anything, Sanheim will be the one traded if they run into cap issues.

IIRC, I thouught the Flyers wanted a long term deal over bridge, but I could be wrong. Either way, if Provy truly wants out, plans can change. Now will Sanheim have interest to sign long term- no idea.

Sami Kapanen will primarily do player development in Europe plus some pro scouting.

Nick Schultz will go back to player development after being pressed into assistant coach duty midseason in 2022-23.

Kjell is in more of an oversight role now. Mike O'Connell is senior advisor on development.

Brady Robinson (goalies) and John Riley (forwards) remain in the same roles.

Believe there are 1-2 additional development coaches who has been/will be hired for 2022-23.

Didn't work out with Chris Stewart, who left midseason in 2020-21. Brett Hextall left last summer to join his dad in Pittsburgh.

Well Sanheim played more than Provy last year, except on the PP.

It would also be better long term to look him for 6 or 7 years, than have to deal with extending a 28 year old Provorov looking for a pay raise that he hasn't earned.

Let's see, we could have signed him as a free agent last year and not done the Ellis deal and now we send 3 picks over to grab him. I guess this means that we are not expecting to see anything of Ellis but his salary cap bite. Someone please remind me why Chuckie is still employed here.
