Eklund saying boeser or horvat might be moved to keep JTM. I don't hate it. - canucksfan1944
There’s only a one year age difference between Bo and JT. If Bo gives you a bigger return then I think you need to do it. I love Bo, but he’s a solid #2 centre. Cup contending teams usually have 2 #1’s and I think you can argue that Petey and Miller both qualify. |

Vancouver and JT Miller continue talks…
I am told Bruce Boudreau has made it VERY clear that JT is a guy he needs for his system..Could mean Horvat or Boeser needs to be moved instead…
Source: Eklund
Something has to give if they want to start fixing the roster. Pearson, Hoglander, Myers etc aren't trade assets that will get you quality upgrades. Garland will.
Horvat, Boeser, Miller, doesn't matter, if any of them can get you quality assets and put the team in a better position to succeed, move any or all of them. - VanHockeyGuy

Horvat and Boeser also did well in his system. And considering the cap hit Horvat will likely sign, he is the better option to keep IMO. |

The team should be open to discussing several trade scenario's, even the unpopular ones. - VanHockeyGuy
I'm sure lots are on the table. Boudreau has made it clear what he needs and that will also include Boeser and Horvat lol.
Garland, Hogs, Myers, Pearson, and a few others can go.
Although I would prefer to keep Garland. |

Green, also made it clear what he needed. How did that work out?
I sure hope the coach isn't calling the shots. |

Don't forget that THIS coach was hired by FA and NOT JR/PA. That has to be made mention of since you have to guess he's got a lot of stroke being the owner's choice. |

I doubt that the new management group would allow Aquilini's pet to dictate how the team is structured.

The problem was that it was out of print at the time.

FA hired Boudreau after speaking to JR.

TSN: There was plenty of interest for Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller at the draft according to Darren Dreger, and with no deal made, they’ll sit back and wait and see.
“Maybe they look at free agency and the guys that are shopping for unrestricted free agents that don’t land the forward that they’re hoping maybe they circle back to the Vancouver Canucks. And if the Canucks do not get the return that they need to move J.T. Miller, they’re happy to have him back in camp going into next season, the final year of his contract.”
Despite the speculation of an offer, Miller’s camp and the Canucks haven’t had much meaningful dialogue. |

What else are they going to say? The reality is the return they get will be less at the TDL.

How do you figure? The Rangers paid for a soon to be free agent Andrew Copp, who in Wpg had 35 points in 56 games.
Morgan Barron · $0 (AHL/JR)
2022 1st round pick (NYR - #30 - Brad Lambert) [Conditional]*
2022 2nd round pick (STL - #55 - Elias Salomonsson) [Conditional]**
2023 5th round pick (NYR)
Rangers were offering a little bit more value for Miller who had a year and a half left and is twice the player.
Winnipeg got much better value from the Rangers for their free agent than what the Rangers were offering Van for their player under contract. |

We'll see how good they are at the poker game, it would be best to move him in the summer in lieu of in season.

If a good value offer is there. Otherwise, why? Let everyone know you can be walked all over and players can walk all over the organization.

There's a good chance VAN has also inflated the price tag.

I have to agree. I don't see his value falling off a cliff. Plus contending teams are more likely to be bidding against one another at that time.
The only downside is the risk of Miller getting hurt. Which could net you nothing and he walks. I'm not sure anyone wants to risk that. |

I am okay with the team keeping Miller and the rest of the players,as long as they are in a playoff push and can be a top 10 team in their conference.
I think the experience for the young players is invaluable and will only result in better results down the road.
If some of the players have career years, even better. |

You start high, they start low and hopefully meet near your end and not there's.
Even if you got the same deal they gave Wpg for Copp next season, that's most likely more value than this years because next years draft is looks to be 10 players deeper in the first round than this years. |

The coach also likes the D which is shyte. - VanHockeyGuy
I'm willing to bet he doesn't love it. Boudreau has made sideways comments on how we need to get better defensively. He knows it. He likes Myers and I'm sure Hughes and maybe 1-2 others but after that it's thin lol |

Trade a forward for a D with an equal contract and then sign a forward with the 4-5M left in cap space. If they really want to try and win this year.
Or just sign an overpriced D in free agency. |
