the swede bros say he's comparable to Eklund(SJS, not HB guy) so I guess value wise its a decent pick, hes only 17 right now so hopefully he grows a bit still. Still not a fan of taking a winger, if he was boa on Canucks board with no C/D right behind him, I would've just traded down and grabbed some C/D afterward

The fans wont chant for a proper rebuild because their spending money to see a winner, so we have to look forward to continuous bubble teams while LA & ANA get bigger and better, it's going to get harder and harder for this team to make the playoffs in this division.

It's a good point, catering to the upper echelon in the fans that can afford to go to games (or live in Van for that matter) seems to be a thing. There's more of us out here than the 20K they can stuff into a rink ... and we do add up with our merchandise, attending road games, road trips to van when we can. There seems to be an obsession that FA can't let the team get bad enough for a rebuild or the brand will be irreparably damaged. Heck if they tanked it might be a good thing to drive ticket prices down and get some new blood in the building.

I used to spend $1000 on a weekend game trip to go see the Canucks with my wife. Ferries, tickets, meals, drinks, fuel, etc. haven’t been to a game in six years now. (frank) that stupid wiener Aquilini.

it's worse over there, but also better info mainly because more posters and more posts so higher chance of finding some knowledgeable posts if you're lucky enough to stumble across them

r/canucks is a good place if you're a homer who hates negativity, they didn't turn on Benning until like a few months before he got fired, they stayed loyal for a long time

i started on canucks.com way back in the day during the Gillis era and ive heard any overly negative posts there get deleted so that might be even better for homers
