it's worse over there, but also better info mainly because more posters and more posts so higher chance of finding some knowledgeable posts if you're lucky enough to stumble across them

r/canucks is a good place if you're a homer who hates negativity, they didn't turn on Benning until like a few months before he got fired, they stayed loyal for a long time

i started on canucks.com and ive heard any overly negative posts there get deleted so that might be even better for homers

negativity-wise i'd guess it's

1. HF
2. HB
3. Reddit
4. Canucks.com

I don't know how you are on 4 websites. Sounds like each place has it's faults. I just like constructive open discussions.

I was kinda hoping you were on Rodgers.

Aaron or?

I was kind of hoping you'd grow up some day. Can't always get what we want.

I’m not.

Haven’t been on Canucks.com for years. I just see people meme about them on HF sometimes. I don’t think I’ve ever posted on r/Canucks, also just seen people meme them on hf

I also don’t tweet about the Canucks, it somehow seems even more pointless than posting on here/hf

I think I post most in general during draft/free agency

Very good.

Twitter forced me into creating an account to move around. I like no one and I think I have tweeted twice now. It's quick info though and I'm not against adding tools of use.

HB used to be a source of info but it has lagged behind now it seems.

I actually went there and the best contract on there is getting rid of OEL for only 990K.

Imagine the options if all the roussels fell off the books this year and we didn't have that 7+ mil on the books. I mean he's not horrible (like a Tyler Myers), but he's not worth half his contract the way he's playing now ... years from now

Actually he reminds me of dan hamhuis. Solid, no real offensive thread. Difference is Hamhuis could never get shots through, OEL breaks the age old adage that there are no bad shots. OEL takes bad shots.

I started on Canucks.com during the Nonis era. I moved here during the Nonis era after hundreds of people on CDC went ballistic on me for listing Nonis' mistakes and why I thought he wont last long. Not that reactions were any different here just in smaller numbers. All but a couple of people jumped on me here when Nonis got fired.... The post that I remember clearly and was the most laughable started like this... "Where's booner. I hope he is happy. This firing will set the Canucks back 10 years. Nonis was the best thing that ever happened to this franchise". He then went on to list the great things Nonis did. I use to remember his name. I think he's still here even so he's from a very short list of people. He's reading this now keeping his mouth shut no doubt....

I was friends with one of Nonis' cousins back then so I got it in real life as well. I can't blame her... it's family. She informed me he was taking over for Burke before he was even fired. Nonis knew during Burke's lame duck period. Surprised Burke even brought him into the Leafs fold and sure enough, he ended up with Burke's job there as well...

I decided to come here because I was calling XMRadio and asking Ek questions etc when he had a nightly spot on their late show. I was mostly interested in the pool at first but I found Mark Gage interesting and worthy of discussing stuff with. The rest of the people here were extremally childish and homerism was almost 100%... much more mature these days. It was still light years ahead of CDC on a maturity level though.

HB is dying slowly, i read a lot of "that site still exists?" comments

Very rare to see new posters, and people eventually move on to other sites.

Live group chats on sites/apps like discord will make message boards obsolete, zoomers dont like message boards lol

Eklund makes some nice coin from this website, not nearly as much as he used to but still a nice chunk of change for some passive income

Free agency is just the worst time of the year now. Signing 27 year olds basically to long term deals. Anybody with any skill gets paid. Van just needs a better process and shouldn't rush anything right now.

I wonder why My friends left long time ago and still ask why I come here and ask if the same idiots are still here.

When is the last time Hockeybuzz had an update or anything? Cater to a different crowd or loss out all together sooner or later.

There's no more premotion of HB. Nowhere at all... and the site hasn't had an upgrade since the beginning. The forum format is ancient. It's barely a step up from the comment section on a low level news blog. Completely useless. I had a forum 15 years ago that had way better software than this and it wasn't even that great. I was piggy backing it on the HuntBC server who's owner is a friend of mine. Also the HB server can't even handle the traffic of a shrinking userbase on a important hockey day... not just TDL and draft. Site crashes after a big trade even...

Ty Young is a fascinating pick for me.

I think he and tandem partner Tyler Brennan were a cool study in two different ways to stay afloat behind what I consider one of the hardest defensive corps to watch among teams draft-ready goalies played behind. Think he could be good!
Hopefully one of them will be traded to get more playing time for each.

Canucks.com was/is still full of the dumbest pieces of poop of all time. They don’t know anything about hockey and they epitomize everything that is wrong with this fanbase. HB is a dream compared to that nightmare. The others are decent enough.

Brennan came alive for the playoffs. Had a .95% save average. Young only came to the Dub fulltime when Gauthier was traded. He got continually better. Keep in mind that PG was mostly 15-17 year olds last year. Pretty inexperienced team.

I think Brennan and Young will improve huge this year behind a better team. I only got to watch Young play twice live last season and I was impressed with his positioning.

Yes I got my CDC account banned for trolling because I said that Myers is a horrible Defenseman and that Boeser doesn't have the speed to stick around the nhl into his 30s.

Is Pete Tessier still around? Him and French had interesting columns
