My phone has been down all day: I'm Fido. The bars came back for a bit about an hour ago, but are now gone again.

I can tell you exactly when it happened last: late April, 2021. I was in the middle of doing a bunch of interviews for a story on the Florida Panthers for the New York Times. Was having to call strangers on Facetime with no advance warning...

Anyway, I'm home with non-Rogers Wifi, and I guess I'll stay here for the foreseeable future.

I'm actually posting to say that the Canucks have released the development camp roster of 35 players, and it's pretty incredible. Lots of players we've never seen in person before, like Jacob Truscott and Joni Jurmo and Connor Lockhart.

And quite a few names I don't recognize too, who I guess are free agents. Must dig deeper...

I think the greater than 100% is only if the salary is low, like $1m or less. Maybe it’s $2m, can’t quite remember. But at the higher salaries it’s now straight average (cap hit). So Pettersson should be $7.35m or whatever he’s averaging.

Barzal might have signed before the change, as did Boeser.

One thing that I think is true is that Canucks aren't letting anybody talk to Miller about an extension. Was that what happened here? I still think we're gathering that and that's kinda why there's a little of a stalemate.

IDGAF either way if he stays or goes. He's one guy, I would be more concerned with the other snowflakes in the room. Lets see if they address the holes in the roster this summer.
