We’re told on good authority that Carolina owner Tom Dundon is basically low-balling impending free agents Vincent Trocheck and Nino Niederreiter out of town after already having done so to Tony DeAngelo, which is an interesting way for a win-now operation to operate.
Our information is that DeAngelo, who was an impending restricted free agent, was willing to take a one-year deal with the ’Canes for well under the $5 million AAV he ultimately received on his two-year contract with the Flyers after he’d been traded to Philadelphia. But to no avail. - hello it's me 2050
Read this this morning. Brooks is wrong...its exactly what Chicago should be doing, but I agree that they didnt get as much back for Debrincat than I thought. Wasnt horrible but should have gotten another prospect from Ottawa |

Chuckles just doesn't think anything out cause he apparently doesn't have the brain capacity to do such things.

Money is a new complaint. The contract seems fair, especially short term but where you’re wrong is by saying he’s had one good season with a good team. Last season was his second best season of his career. The issue is his character. Can he keep his political view in check and boarder line if not full on racism and whether or not he can round out his full game. His defense needs work. |

He needs to switch parties. Become a democrat then he can share his political views.
Full on racism. More false narratives. |

Show me a racist…I’ll probably be looking at an a-hole. But in this world there’s a lot of a-holes. In his case he’s just been ignorant enough to show it. Unfortunately that does put a different light for me in cheering for the guy….maybe he’ll win me over, as I’m not naive to think there aren’t others just like him….I’d just prefer not to know it. |

His political ideologies do not matter to me. What he says/ tweets also not relevant to me.
Being a hockey and Flyers fan, his performance on the ice is what I look at and judge. |

The Flyers didn’t have a ton of high picks, but the one they did have was an excellent player in Cutter Gauthier at No. 5. I get why some had reservations on this player, but his potential is massive, and if he hits, you have a true foundational player to build around in Philly. After Cutter there wasn’t a ton I was excited about, even if I also see legit upside in Devin Kaplan. This class will be defined by whether Gauthier becomes the player the Flyers think he can be, and I think he has a solid chance to do so. |

And the Flyers need every bit of cap space they can get at this point. I don't care about the political crap one iota. I care about how he performs on the ice! Thanks! |

He will likely come out on the losing end of a JVR trade is mu prediction. He will not get JG then pivot to Kadri and offer a ton. Will t be enough for Kadri to take?

He will need to trade JVR plus. I have serious doubts that anyone takes his full salary unless another player is coming the other way.
Sure Ellis can be LTIR's but that in itself wont be enough. Chuck has some serious moves to make a no leverage to do them.
I would be very surprised if JG comes here.
They still need to sign Frost and Tippet and can't go over $90,250,000 in offseason cap (cap plus 10%) IIRC. They cant even sign Gaudreau if they wanted to (assuming he gets over 9 aav) until trades are made.
Why the (frank) are we here? A cap strapped team forced to make moves just to sign RFA's and nowhere near being a contender.
Fletch needs to be drawn and quartered. |

Some GM will probably come in and throw offer sheets at Tippet and Frost just to screw with them. The Flyers couldn't even match a 3rd round pick level OS at the moment without it screwing everything else.

Haha, if only either of those players were actually good. Patrick Kane now the latest rumor on eks rumor mill. I could see Fletch sending 3 firrst round picks , prospect, and JVR to make it happen. |

Hmm, what would be the expected return in draft picks for those players if they did not match..?

Can’t see Kane under any circumstances waiving to come to the Flyers. Really makes zero sense on his end. He will have much better choices. |

He may be mistakenly thinking this is the 93-94 NY Rangers...and following that plan style...altered perception of reality. |

Cole Knuble went undrafted and no invite to the development camp? Where's the Flyers family invite connection?

Somehow a Kane for JVR plus would feel like retribution..
Until JVR scores against us to win the cup in OT |

How is DeAngelo possibly being a racist a false narrative? Who’s narrative? If his character on race is being questioned and has been questioned for years, why is it being questioned by fans and media at all? I’m seeing Kevin Hayes come to his defense, not Wayne Simmonds, PK Subben, Seth Jones or Evander Kane. I’m not even seeing the player in questioned that DeAngelo bullied come to his defense. Was it K’Andre Miller that young player in question? All I have ever seen is DeAngelo’s father come to his defense/confirm that Tony DeAngelo might be because “that’s how we were raised”…..uhhh…huh?
Someone tell me what narrative is being spun here. |
