It’s a guy on the hockey team we all watch. I don’t see how people are getting this uptight, none of us work with him, we watch him play hockey. Don’t buy tickets, do whatever you got to do. - ClaudeFather
A new guy comes on at your place of work. His reputation is that he’s an bumhole and a bully, has been disciplined at jobs before for such behavior and is 18 months removed from being so toxic that his job before this last one told him to go home. This isn’t hearsay, this isn’t some rumor, it’s documented pattern with many eyewitnesses. Meanwhile, your place of work is really dysfunctional and not operating on even half the level of other businesses in your profession.
What’s your take on the dude, right then and there? |

At that age how the hell do you manage to get a hip injury while training??? - hereticpride
Chalk up another for our crack development folks.
That is definitely on them for not knowing this kids body structure and makeup and what stresses should be avoided or tailored to improve not blow out a hip!
WHAT THE PHUCK!!

I lived through the bullies years and was ready to move on from the Kate Smith thing. Maybe if they didn’t suck it would still be fun, but it just seemed sad and embarrassing anymore. I agree it was pretty poopty the way they did it. I mean…what white person in America in the 40s wasn’t racist? People learn and change (atleast some of us do). The intention of her statue and song certainly weren’t to promote racism, but I guess if many of your patrons are offended by it you get rid of it. I didn’t see it as a big deal. - Dkos
Racist or not who the hell cares about Kate Smith in 2022? Why is this old dumb ass even mentioned around me? The Broad Street bullies were a relic in the 90s.
Sign of a business just losing touch by the year, and it has been for decades now.
I do not care about the 1974-75 flyers teams. And for a second when I was kid, yea maybe it was fun. poop was old in 2000. They refuse to move on from their glory days, and it’s weird and creepy at this point.
We should ALL be thinking similarly, regardless of our political stance, whether or not we want to LGB with Tony D or not, we should all be realizing that this franchise is now fully, 100 percent irrelevant, ran by boomers who’s only success is that they shared a name with their Dad or they won a cup 40 (frank)ing years ago.
People, put it all aside. Where am I wrong??
EDIT: their last cup was nearly 50 years ago. |

What’s worse, after such a fishy interview, we got fans on these boards acting like none of us should be concerned. There was never a problem. It’s a false narrative. How naive is that? - SuperSchennBros
All you should be concerned about is his performance on the ice. |

Seriously? The lack of logic that you have is monumental. How about the Flyers aren't close to being the best defensive team in the league so a defenseman who is putrid defensively is an issue for them. - MJL
you’re hilarious |

Comparing the real world workplace to sports is always a good comparison. |

All it takes is one season. He comes in and if he does his job well without disruption, I’m sure all this chatter on July 7th to July 10th will be forgotten and all will be forgiven. The first time we signed Ray Emery, nobody here wanted him except myself. All the stuff in Ottawa. All the stuff in Russia. He was going to be a distraction on an already good team. None of which happened. Now Razor has passed and I think most fans remember Emery as a Flyer and in a positive way. |

Let me get this straight. You want to completely dismiss Gositsbehere's season this year because he played on a bad team and want to compare Gostisbehere's past few seasons with the Flyers to DeAngelo's past seasons. How many seasons can we go back? Why just the last few? DeAngelo hasn't played on the Flyers yet. Your logic is slipping dangerously into JD250 territory. - MJL
So go 3 for 3, TDA is the better player |

There will be plenty to complain about come mid November outside of TDA lol. RIP razor. I know it was him post hip issues but if Mason plays all 7 verse NYr we win that series. |

You probably think of yourself as an intelligent individual. You figure it out. If you can’t then there is no reason to go any further.
You never answered my earlier question about the taco shells. |

My point is, DeAngelo is here whether we like it or not. He could end up changing my mind or he could end up on his 6th team by the time he’s 27. Only time will tell. |

I gave it already, although I don’t understand why you need to hear what I have to say everyday and try to challenge my views as if I’m not allowed to my opinions. |

Well, a lot of the time these actions (removal of KS statue) address not the original issue but the reactions that are provoked. She had to go because the lyrics were too offensive, and letting her stay would have left Comcast open to charges of condoning bigotry. She had to go quickly and secretly because having a public debate would have left them with an even worse lose-lose position, with the stakes raised.
I do agree it was sad though. |

I will judge him by his on ice performance. As a fan than is all that matters to me. |

People really need to learn the difference among predudice, bigotry and racism. There's nuance that exists They are not absolutes. what passes for racism, usually isnt regardless of how the left wants to redefine it |

Because unlike you, I don’t see myself in Tony D. I know a person like that causes problems, and in a culture like hockey, it can cause big problems. Ask the Rangers.
But nah just picking on poor South Philly kid. What he does on the ice is all that matters. |
