Seems you need everyone to agree with you, seems you may have facts I do not, please, by all means share them? It could change my life mission of giving EVERYONE every opportunity to prove they can be better. The world of writing people off might be easier for me.

You have now brought up more political names than I have in all of this discussion.

Smart dude.

Yea you're not really understanding what I'm saying about privilege and how it pertains especially to the case of this hockey player i've been discussing for pages upon pages.

They're all privileged. Mostly. That never bothered me before. Neither did the interview I saw with Ryan Suter years ago where he said his favorite president was George W Bush. He was never a favorite of mine, but I didn't have it out for Suter after knowing a little bit about his politics. I'm not picking on the dude, if that's what you think.

- FloHaake

Yea, I'm understanding just fine. You tried to use his privilege as a means to criticize him. With the asinine reply of don't play this game MJL. Without the common sense that based on your criteria, every NHL player is privileged.

So every kid who has played let’s say tier 1 hockey as a youth up through juniors or college to pro is privileged?
- furio16

Most of them had access to the game that most kids can only dream of. Yes, I believe most of them, while they work really really hard to get where they are, are ultimately people who have no idea how the real world works and what real people go through.

So yes, you have privilege to play this game from youth to juniors to college to pro. You didn't do it yourself, and you had plenty of support from a loving family. Most children don't have that at all anywhere. So, I'ts not a slight that you're taking it as. I have beautiful friends that grew up with a lot more than I did who don't act entitled to their positions in life.

Does that make them a bad person? How does that make DeAngelo a bad person.

Guess this is white privilege right? Nothing like a good generalization.

Take your garbage elsewhere.

When your behavior tracks right along with being a privileged dude who has faced very little consequences for his actions in life, then I guess it is a criticism.

read my posts pal. It's all there, what you're trying to drive at.

But I'll say it again for ya. The fact that Tony grew up playing the game at all levels and therefore had a lot more than a lot of people in Da Area did, isn't a problem. It's his behavior that was bred out of his very lucky situation in life. That's the problem.

It doesn't bode well for your credibility. His so called privilege has nothing to do with his behavior. Since according to you, every NHL player is privileged.

Nope, Tony D brought his politics into it. I never once had a problem with any player from a politics perspective. They're mostly white, rich men. I'm not dumb, I know how most of em probably vote if they do vote, and you know what? that's not my business.

If I go on the internet and there are multiple examples of a player expressing their political opinion, well then ok lets play that game. I didn't go looking for it.

You want to keep acting like this quote from his previous GM of one really good season is enough. It's not.

- FloHaake

lol, disagree with his politics so you want to cancel him. Very tolerant of you.

I have been reading your posts. It's a bunch of garbage. That's what I'm driving at as I systematically break down your entire position. All I'm doing is giving you the opportunity to expose your bias and again, you make a claim not backed up by facts that his behavior was bred out of his very luck situation in life.

Always respected your hockey discussion, even if I didn't agree fully. You're just refusing to see my point. It's fine. Take care MJL. I hope you don't post so much anymore. It's not worth it. This team stinks and they don't care about you, or any of us.

How is his situation lucky? Do you know if or what his parents may have sacrificed over the years to allow him to play hockey? Worked several jobs at time , give up vacations and the like?

MIssed the post where I said I realize that most pro athletes don't share my same views. Ryan Suter is on record saying George W Bush was the best American President.

That's fine, he's wrong. I never felt the need to come on here when the rumors of Suter coming to Philly with "HE THINKS BUSH IS GOOD NO BUSH IS BAD I HATE HIM"

but keep coming at me like it's just politics.

All I can say about hockey anymore, as it pertains to the Flyers, is I don't care. Let's move to the AVS board together and hook up there.

Haven’t bought a Flyers jersey in a long time but I think I am going to order a D’Angelo jersey to watch people’s heads explode, lol.
