And guess what? I don't care about that. That doesn't influence my decision to root for a player or not root for a player. Yall just keep refusing to accept the fact that the game of hockey in America is a rich kids sport. And I've loved it my whole life, in spite of that. I don't judge people based on how they grew up, but I can draw a line from how they act as adults to how they were brought up.

one of the reasons Auston Matthews is good at hockey is because he never had to worry about that kind of thing. That's definition of privilege. He's an incredible athlete, a good teammate and very entertaining player to watch, but the dude grew up in a different world than most of us. I don't dislike him for that. I don't dislike anyone for that.

It's what you do with your opportunities when you get to them, and how you treat others, that's what I judge people on.
