They have to spend about $12.5 million to get to the floor. Olofsson and a bunch of bargain basement players aren’t gonna get that done, especially when two guys coming up are on their ELCs. - Stripes77
Olofsson $6
PK $5
Vinnie Hinnie $1.25m
Pysyk $1m
Lindgren $1m

Notice he hasn't been able to get Tokarski or Subban signed either. - Lunaion
I wonder if he is slow playing tokarski as he doesn't know how many bodies are coming in. |

Depth guys = Roch
No reason for Tokarski/Subban to accept a cheaper two-way deal today. Why spend on guys who don't count towards the cap?

I mean 3 years at $5 mill to ride the vibe train with your brother…. |

If they get sent down they won’t count against the cap, don’t they get up to a million dollar relief on contracts sent to the minors? |

Weird how we’ve gotten radio silence on Olofsson since the draft ended |

I'm talking actual $. They've gotten really cheap with Roch since they canned JB.

The draft was 2 days ago, and Adams said they were close when asked at the draft. |

Not really. It’s usually quiet with RFAs minus a signing here or there. Qualifying contracts go out and since there’s no real threat of an offer sheet GMs wait on their RFAs |

If it's not PK, it's gotta be someone. I'd prefer they give it to Kuemper

I guess the hard deadline would be the inevitable arbitration date.

Goalies are a little different. Dell was sent down on a 1 way last year.
Depth for Rochester for players are usually two way deals league wide. |

Chicago blatantly, shamefully tanking. Will anyone call them out on it? Or no because they're an original 6? |

They’d rather take heat for that than allowing one of their own players to get sexually assaulted. |

Dell was on a 2-way at 350k. Tokarski a 2-way at 200k Subban was on a 1-way, from Chi.
Most of the better AHL player on higher two-ways or 1 way deals. JB gave many out. KA none.

This needs to be posted with any Sabres signings this year…. Also, I think bjustead is a free agent! Elite height for the bottom 6. Bjustead or Eakin! pick your poison. |

"Pilut signed a two-year contract with Traktor in June 2020 because the Sabres' previous management was initially unwilling to give him a one-way contract after he split two seasons between Buffalo and Rochester. When Jason Botterill's staff finally agreed to Pilut's request, it was too late. " |
