I would argue that Tampa was more gassed after playing the Leafs. And for the record most of those guys had a pretty decent playoffs. I must have missed it - I didn't see the Avs physically punishing anyone on their way to the cup.

He wanted them to be part of a championship run - what is wrong with that? UPL was hurt when we really needed him (early 2022). I had no problem with how they were handled.

I disagree because when Vic got hurt they didn't bring Quinn up to replace him on the power play. instead, they did nothing and then brought Vic back to play hurt for a while.

Well there's a lot of head scratching over on the Hawks page. Davidson is going full scorched earth. Don't be surprised if Kane is moved sooner or later, at the TDL at the latest. Hopefully he'll get a Giroux like return, a 1st, a 2nd or 3rd and a good prospect. Nothing against you guys, but he'll want to go to a Cup contender.

Connolly and Borgstrom won't be missed, but by buying them out he picked up about 3M in cap space. Maybe Davidson is clearing the decks to take on someone's dead weight i.e. JVR or Monahan, and get a pick or prospect along with them.

38+ mill tied in 3 players is no good.
