The Ladd comparable is ok but not great. He's a much worse player. I wouldn't want to use MAF either. I think you could get somewhat close with the Arizona Vancouver mega poop deal last summer. They wrangled up a first.

The MAF trade was if the Sabres were to trade JVR at the TDL....equal salary retention and that would have to take into consideration that JVR is scoring at a 25 goal clip.

The point is the Sabres can actually double dip on JVR if Adams plays it right. If JVR can scored 24 on a dumpster fire team like Philly then he should be able to do it with the Sabres.

you can use any definition you want. Columbus and Bruins wiffed 2/3. but I think 100 games min is fair. Vegas and Rangers did ok and there's still time there.
