If the Sabres want to add some cheap talent. With the cap space. They are definitely in a good spot

I don’t mean malkin. But some nice RFAs are now free agents. The discount double check signing could be decent.

Seems to go Brain Dead at the most crucial moments in the playoffs.

Only at defense. I dont see where a non top 6 forward helps. A guy like Kulak from EDM though would be a nice add to the blue line even though he is LD

There's players out there that could help the Sabres, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

All this speculating is so premature. KA has clearly been out there trying to get stuff done. Forget the "there is no try" nonsense - the offseason is just starting and players are still shaking free.

You can sign those two, call it a day and be much improved next year. Try to get a RD too

They want Johnny hockey

If we offload Krebs and Cozens, would we be able to sign Johnny Hockey?

Their first.... (Obvious pipedream) That team is a disaster. If I was them I would just suck it up with JVR one more year. Why sell now.
- SDSabre
on capfriendly, several flyer fans are willing to give up FLA's 1st to move out JVR

Coulda got 7+ for Murray, Used 7 for Savoie and traded 9 and 41 for Debrincat since no one else could have.

Maybe this was the plan but Murray cucked us

- DirtyDan

Again, not wanting to trade for Debrincat had nothing to do with not wanting to give up picks.

Why would we want to offload them? After all, they are currently cheap. The issue is who gets offloaded in the future.

Still don't get why the Sabres didn't buyout Bjork. Would have saved them actual dollars and opened up a spot for a better player

Take this whatever way you want:
Apologies for being a grumpy old man sometimes, seen a lot of poopty hockey lately. I really do like what the Sabres are doing, stocking the shelves like so many have called for here. And get there a young team and still have ? that need to be answered with such. But to me with who was available for trade and some of the low prices paid, it was a perfect year for the Sabres to get a very good young player, especially with all the assets the Sabres had available. Yes Adams can still add, and hopefully he gets something that can help us grow as a team. Good Hockey teams don't stop adding Good talent because there afraid to block someone. That's what makes them good, they just add more good Hockey players, gives you more usable assets when you need them. It was a good year to jump in the game just a bit, we shall see what happens but I do really like the growth of the players and everyone knows what I think of Donnie. I just want to see some Life, with what has happened so far, it just seems like "Groundhog Day"

Have to think they see it as wasting $, since it would end up costing them more to get above the floor.
