If he can demonstrate some sort of “growth”, I’d say yes. But after that, patience might begin to fade a little and he could feel some pressure get better in the standings, not just vibes.

Well then you're making a trade. Because right now you have 13 forwards once VO signs when you include JQ and JJP

Clearly you can bench or exorcise Bjork but there's no one else you'd sit. They probably need a 4C. So now you have 14 forwards. Which one of the 12 sits? None of them make any sense to bench.

Who's rushing anything, adding 1 or 2 players could move this teams needle. Competition is a good thing. And if the prospect is good enough, you find a spot, or it gives you more usable assets

I understand getting someone as insurance, but let's say you sign Marchment to a three year deal. All of these same forwards are here in 23 except Bjork. Now you have Savoie knocking. Seriously, where's the room in the top 6, or top 9?

Feels like actual playoff experience, even if it were only one round, or hell, just being in a real playoff chase, would do wonders for all the young players.

Apologies for being a grumpy old man sometimes, seen a lot of poopty hockey lately. I really do like what the Sabres are doing, stocking the shelves like so many have called for here. And get there a young team and still have ? that need to be answered with such. But to me with who was available for trade and some of the low prices paid, it was a perfect year for the Sabres to get a very good young player, especially with all the assets the Sabres had available. Yes Adams can still add, and hopefully he gets something that can help us grow as a team. Good Hockey teams don't stop adding Good talent because there afraid to block someone. That's what makes them good, they just add more good Hockey players, gives you more usable assets when you need them. It was a good year to jump in the game just a bit, we shall see what happens but I do really like the growth of the players and everyone knows what I think of Donnie. I just want to see some Life, with what has happened so far, it just seems like "Groundhog Day"

Yes, because it is a process. Just look at Colorado - this stuff can take a while. They had the same coach and GM through a lot of losing seasons.

Also, look at the last set of coaches and gm's that came through here. I am sure the Pegulas don't want to go through that again.
