Loving what Gally brought, but this is going to be an anchor of à contract. His skating slowed down, and his shot release is not what it was before he got both hands destroyed.

Yes, but made sense not to with Dach coming. It's a gamble on his development but the potential is there. It speaks more about how I think Hoffman and Drouin are exactly the kind of kinda talented ineffective players you must avoid while building a roster.

Given his age (30) ... I know we need veterans but isn't he a bit too old to "grow" with our young core? I'm sure HuGo are already aware of this.

I wouldn't be opposed to trading him while he still has value around the league ... but 6.5 mil might be hard to pass on to another team.
