I'm not sure what Slafkovsky's ceiling in terms of talent is, but I'm fairly certain it won't be a huge disappointment as was the case for KK.
- Pat1993

KK was quite a reach, should've been picked around 10. Slaf was at least supposed to go out top in the 3.

I heard about that earlier, do you have to be with Rogers to be compensated, or is it anyone who was affected by the outage?

you have to be with Rogers or Fido.
another claim for Interac users (so no need to be with Rogers) could be put.

Slafkovsky was asked if he damaged the bike after that exercise. He smiled and replied: “For sure, I’m gonna damage everything in here” #GoHabsGo

ah ok, because even if I'm not a Rogers client I was still affected, so I feel that I deserve to be compensated. the process of recovering emotionally from this ordeal will be a long and painful one.

Nate Schnarr, I like that name, it's perfect for Talk Like A Pirate Day.

concerning Rem Pitlick, wasn't he playing well enough to deserve an offer?

They can still sign him. He had rights to arbitration, they probably didn't wanted to get stuck in parameters decided by a third party.

I mean, with the number of forwards in the depth chart, if I were him I'd sign somewhere else.

At first, I did too, but EE made some good points:

Eric Engels

Qualifying Rem Pitlick would've enabled him to file for arbitration, and the Canadiens, who are jammed on the wings and in cap turmoil, can't really afford what he might be awarded at the higher end of an arbitration settlement. 1/2

Believe Habs made a healthy offer to Pitlick--they like the player, as did MSL--but Pitlick wants to see what he can get for himself. He had 15G and 22A in 66 games this season. Good numbers, but small sample, and the high end of his arb award would be over $3M. 2/2
