Allen..? with Price's injuries and Primeau needing more time in the AHL, the habs are definitely gonna need him, but yeah I guess at some point if the offers are just too good to pass on then Hughes might as well trade him.

oh it would take a very good offer, like a 1st rounder. give the net to Montembeault, hire a cheap back up, leave Primeau in Laval. anyway, Allen is probably gone at the trade deadline, so if Hughes gets a super offer now... might as well take it.
and who knows? maybe Price will play a few games! maybe he could be the backup!

personally if Price can't play more than once a week, or if it turns out he can't play at all anymore and retires, I hope they keep Allen and give the starter job to him, I'd much rather have his experience to support the young dmen that are gonna be learning the ropes of playing in the NHL... Montembeault isn't the worst goalie but he doesn't have the stability to be heavily relied upon.

I disagree, with all the young guys coming up, I would prefer having a more calming presence such as Allen on the backend, he'd be able to help them out a bit in their development, as opposed to Montembeault who is still learning and struggles too often with his own game.
