He's actually not that slow.

But yeah, he's not been the same since the wrist injury. Hughes said they informed themselves well before trading for him, I hope their information was correct.

They talked to the Informer.....

Well he was never a big goal scorer but his current situation is ridiculous.

He's one of the worst finishers in the NHL, terrible in the faceoff dot (despite Yannick Perreault's tutelage no less) and his shot percentage is quite low.

Despite being 6"4, he's not overly physical either.

Now maybe another setting will help and he's only 21 so the hope he improves remains, but he was playing with Patrick Kane or Debrincat for a while and didn't put up big numbers.... so we'll have to be patient imo.

I'm intrigued to see how he'll pan out, hopefully he's fully recovered from that wrist injury and just needs to put in the work to learn and improve his game.

I would have used that 13th overall instead...

Maybe.

I mean, if everything was positive about Dach, Chicago wouldn't have traded him away despite their obvious attempt at a clean slate.

But as Hughes said, you have alot more information on a guy at 21 years old than you do at a draft pick at 18 years old.

Would I trade Dach for Nazar straight up? I sure as hell wouldn't.

I think it was a good trade. Romanov is a good player but not worth a 13th overall pick IMO.

I dunno, letting go Debrincat was a curious move, they might not be taking the smartest decisions either lol

To me, that's debatable.

A top 4 defenseman isn't something you can just throw away. And if it ended up being only for the 13th overall and we drafted Nazar, I wouldn't be very happy.

I'm happy at how it turned out because I do believe Dach can turn it around and we really needed a young, big centre on our team.

They're letting Strome go for nothing too.

I don't feel like they are getting the most for their players.

Dach is still only 21, pretty early to throw the towel for Chicago. I'm happy he's a Hab now.
