Agree, the stat nerds are pretty good at predicting contracts. Agents and teams probably using the same info when negotiating, makes sense.

I said Bo would get the “Landeskog”, which I think is 7 x $7m. Maybe they go 8 and the number comes down a bit (like New-Chew-Skin). Hopefully the $’s trail near the end making a buyout appetizing, or a trade appealing for team looking for cap but no money.

Not only that, even if he WANTED to come here, we wouldn't be able to afford him without trading one or more of EP40 or QH which would defeat the purpose of Malkin coming here.

Yeah, because he's the biggest goal suck this side of Pavel Bure, he hides at the top of the blueline waiting for the breakaway pass to go score. If he gets caught, he pouts, whines and changes immediately to avoid getting a minus when the other team scores.

I think it was Canuck fans, but good point, it could really be any team chasing a top line player.

Why would he lower his ask, HE'S A 💯 POINT PLAYER, after all. They get minimum 10.5 a year over 8 years in like TML and NYR, he's going to get it SOMEWHERE next July, he's not going to lower it THIS far out from UFA.

No he isn't... at best you can call him a PPG player. And that is only in Van. He isn't getting 10 mill. And if traded at deadline it won't be for less then we paid for him. I would have like to see him gone already but we know this team doesn't like to get anything for expiring assets

100% agree ... most night i thought that line was our best. Never the worst and played more minutes than your typical 4th line it seemed like.

Organization spent 5 years grooming Motte to a point where he was finally consistently producing as a 4LC and could even take 3LC minutes if needed. But hey, we were much better off with Brad Richardson as he was only 800K. Great value for the folks that applauded letting Motte go as he wanted to be paid what he's worth lol. Boggles the mind man...
