Again, any reputable player agency (Brian Bartlett) would advise their clients against that. - VanHockeyGuy
I understand but it is ultimately his decision. What if he just says I'm going to wait till FA and see what happens. We advise people at our office all the time and then they make up their mind on what they want to do. Sometimes they listen sometimes they don't. The salary cap is prob going to go up next season is it not? Therefore he may make more money. Obviously the risk is getting injured or having a poor season |

I don't have an answer, one thing however if JTM is digging in his heels and making it difficult for VAN to move him, It won't reflect well to current and possible future stakeholders. |

Salary cap will only rise about 1 million per season, for another 3-4 years. No significant increase until the players portion of revenue losses are paid. |

If his stance is he’s going to UFA no matter what then tell teams that. It makes no difference. Either they make a trade and try their best to resign him or they walk away. There is no downside to allowing a team to talk to his agent.
Allow them to talk and you either get a good offer if he extends, lower offer if he doesn’t or they walk away.
Don’t allow talks you either get a low ball offer or they walk away. |

Kapanen getting QO but Danton Heinen is not.
The amount of players not being qualified this year seems like a lot. |

Just a couple of tweaks and a full season with Boudreau. |

I wonder if we could get McMichael 1 year cap dump and a 1st for Miller and oel. That'd be great. |

Hopefully PA is fully engaged in a poker game with the NY teams. |

I'll be happy when they have a good team and make the playoffs consistently. - Marwood

I will be happy with another Presidents Trophy, the Stanley Cup is overrated. |

Missing the risk that GM’s could talk to each other GM’s after talking to Miller & create a subtle collusion to drive down the ask. That said once teams actually put in their best offer then let them talk to Miller but only the teams whose offer is acceptable. Notify the other GM(s) they need to up their offer to get the same privilege. |

Letting other GM's negotiate with him one year away from free agency is so stupid. |

Kevin Epp, agent for pending UFA winger Andre Burakosvky, says his client appears to be heading to market Wednesday although he does expect to hear back from Colorado before then.
Burakosvky, 27, had 61 points (22-39) in 80 reg season games this past year. |

John Klingberg is the top UFA defenceman going to market Wednesday. There will be plenty of interest. Once he signs, do teams looking for a blueline upgrade shift to the trade route? There are options: Jeff Petry, Tyler Myers, Jakob Chychrun, Tyson Barrie, Marcus Pettersson, etc. |
