David Perron looks to be going to free agency, but this was kinda interesting....

Fun Fact: In his 15 year NHL career David Perron has played for 5 different teams, he's been traded 3 times, and he's been selected in 1 expansion draft.
But despite all that he's only ever signed a contract with the St. Louis Blues. 5 contracts signed, all with the #stlblues

...but it's his lifelong dream to sign a contract with the habs before his career is over, right?
Too many useless wingers on this team, expected to play top 6 roles.
Depressing every damn time I think of it.
Again, give me an army of Pitlicks over those guys. - Mashadar
yeah I know, Hughes still has some salary cap cleaning to do, and we can't expect him to address everything all at once... his tenure is looking promising so far though, gotta appreciate what has been done and the direction he's trying to take with the team.

Yeah, he seems to have a clearly defined long term plan unlike Bergy who would wing it on the fly.
Molson probably grilled him on his plan before hiring him ... the previous administration couldn't develop players properly and had to resort to expensive trades to dress an NHL worthy team.
