While I obviously don't want the Devils to get Johnny G. It would actually be nice for them to have a UFA come to them b/c it's where they are from b/c of their past players leaving like Parise, Kovy, etc.

Greene was good for us for a stretch but he definitely falls into the “time to move on” category.

Honestly, the novelty wore off for me the day we signed him and when I realized he would be used as a top 4 and not a no. 7 defenseman. He was terrible for Washington the year before and rehashed that performance with us last season.

I will say that when things got choppy in a couple of games late last year, seeing Ross, Chara and Martin all staring players down after a whistle was funny.

im old school......i still jump out of my seat when a guy drops his gloves. I still think there's a need for that in the game. But, the game is so fast now......you gotta be able to skate. Zone entry is everything now.
