You have to think if he were signing with devils it would be done already. Lameriello has at least prevented that from happening for the time being. Possible scenario is Lou is looking for landing spots for whatever salary he’s shipping out to make space for Gaudreau and doesn’t want that to cause him to get excessively bent over in the process. Possible.
OR Gaudreau is just thinking about it. I don’t like this one - Cptmjl
What is there to think about? Islanders good and Devils bad.

The Jack Eichel trade just keeps on giving…
God that was a horrible trade. That’s what happens when owners meddle in hockey ops. |

Nah. Trading Pacioretty was needed to make them cap compliant. |

Honestly Cpt, after Vegas picked up Pieterangelo, Eichel, Stone, Lehner and Pacioretty, I don’t count them out of trying anything. |

Sounds like it is. But Jarmo is probably just playing the poop disturber. Driving up the price for division rivals. |

Part of me hopes Gaudreau takes him up on his offer. |

You and me both.
Wouldn’t have objected to Pacioretty on the Isles.
The price was certainly right. |

That club is always on the verge of taking the next step then just immediately bites it soon after. Revolving door of good players. Something stinks in Columbus and I hate those stupid (frank)ing canons. |

Not sure how Columbus would pull off $12m a year for JG. They have a touch over $12m in cap space and need to sign or trade Laine. |

They sign Jenny, then trade us Laine for future considerations.
You’re welcome. |

But they have to take back some salary. I like the idea though. |
