My ticket guy told me it’s FACT and I know really important people within the club and I’m also very good friends(best) with Lameriello. |

Hmmmm....maybe that's why he's been so quiet. I just figured I was best of to let sleeping dogs....eh, nevermind |

Yeah I don’t know either. He’s still producing but will be declining as far as production goes. We know that, he knows that, his agent does. Not sure if he would sign an extension with whatever club trades for him or would bank on a good season? If Chicago retained a chunk of salary I would be willing to trade next years first, whatever prospect they want, and a second or whatever filler they wanted for a year of Kane. I think he’s worth it. - Cptmjl
With the dollar differential from Canada to US, plus the tax rate being 50% in Canada, hes not losing money if he signs with any US team. 9 million with the isles for 7 years is more money for him than 10 per for 8 years in Canada, as crazy as that sounds.
Its why a guy like Jumbo Joe got outta Toronto for Florida. |

Yeah that is true but we are talking about him coming to NY which is not exactly a tax shelter |

Hahaha def not......but Canada blows. That Trudeau has that country on lock. I cant understand how any player would wanna play there with all the restrictions. Teams were flying into Buffalo, because if you cross the border via bus, you didnt have to quarantine vs flying into Toronto. Bananas
Would love to see Gudreau in an isles uni....and i think it can happen. I def do not believe Lou Lam abides by the "no tampering" rule. |

I absolutely do not expect Gaudreau to end up in an Isles uniform. I'm not even so sure Lou will be interested - keaner17
Agree, we have never landed a FA of his level. Not sure why that would change now. |

New arena, with a reputable GM is a start. Its not the isles of the last 3 decades. Until Lou Lam came here, the isles had trouble making trades like Pageau, and Romanov. They'd miss on Drury and Gomez and then sign 7 Jon Sims. The Chara signing obviously didnt pan out......but he was the first "name" to chose the isles. Granted 18 years too late, but he still chose the island. |

I get that, but would not mix trades with FA.signigns although Palms and Pageau did re-sign. Those are still not even close comparables to JG. |

I hear ya, but for many decades players wouldnt agree to be traded on the island. I think its a good sign that they are now, and re signing. The fact that Gudreau turned down the Flames, to me means he's already got a deal in the works. Hopefully at 12:01 its the isles |

Funny, of all the NHL teams tables at the draft, and all the suits sitting at each table, somehow Garth Snow was missing. Somehow noone scooped him up. Somehow a guy can GM a team for 12 years, and then not get hired. By anyone. |
