Jesus, I’m not even sure. A while ago, 2013? Maybe longer. |

Holy poop, I actually accessed my messages (sorry 7, had no idea you messaged me in May, COYS!). Yep, it was 2013. (frank)in 9 years ago, wow.
For some reason I can only access the control panel when I’m in desktop mode. I mean, for some reason, it’s because it’s this site. The only reason I’ve been able to post is because the site isn’t constantly crashing like it was for months. |

Nope, nothing concrete. But it does sound like they may have offered him more than $9 MM/season.
When you next see Lou, please ask him for the details. |

BD Gallof: huuuge herb and tool. I don’t think he’s necessarily wrong about Lou though. We got him at least 10 years too late. He did bring professionalism and a big name to the island though, so that’s a good foundation to build upon as far as admin. He also should be gone if we don’t make the playoffs. That shouldn’t even be an argument at this point. Not sure if it has been in the last 10 pages. I haven’t been able to keep up with the thread

Maybe Lou already signed Kadri. Don't hear about anyone that's made him an offer. Remember Parise and all the other signings last year? Just throwing that out there. |

Anything is possible with Lou. I wouldn’t mind Kadri but the guy is 31 and this will be his last contract. He’s going to be looking to get paid and I can’t imagine anything other then a gross overpayment for the guy. I think he’s a nice 5 million dollar player not a 7 million dollar one for 7 years… |

My sources tell me Kadri could end up back with the Avs if they move Girard.
Girard would really round out the defense nicely for a looooong time.
I'm souring on the idea of signing Kadri more and more as time goes on. And nobody else on the market is worth it |

I have to agree. Kadri seems like a big risk. Miller would be nice but that seems to be a longshot.

Pretty much my thoughts on it as well. JT Miller would be a great add but for us he’s not worth what it would cost to get him because we don’t have an over abundance of assets. I don’t think we get tarasenko without including next years first as well. We’re not in the position to do that imo. I feel we really need to add up front but we’ve kind of painted ourselves into a corner with some bad contracts over the years and dumped a lot of assets in the process which spread is thin. Couple that with having to find a home for Beau and or Bailey to take on anyone else we’re in a tough spot. |

While it's far from my ideal choice, building out the blueline now with a very-affordable Girard ($5M for the next 5 seasons) might not be the worst approach. Rock solid in net, very strong on the blueline....the rest TBD. I'd rather pay a reasonable price for a really good blueline then pay an inflated price for just a decent forward core |
