Salo and Mayfield as the 3rd pair and Romanov on 2nd pair. - ses111
My bad, I misread your post.

I would not waste resources on bringing in a 3rd pair dman at this point. No reason not to give Salo a run.

Nope, I agree. Otherwise you're just wasting youth. Either get them game experience and see what you have or trade 'em and let them try with another team. |

Again, I just don't see the Isles landing JG. Hope I'm wrong. I wish I'm wrong. But I think he's NJ bound. |

Have to agree Philly does not seem a fit and especially with Torts. Isles I have to think would have a decent chance. Hope this gets done quickly either way.

Agreed, why does anyone think Johnny G. Fits into the Torts system of defense first?
Can we see JG jumping in front of pucks all season?

Thats a good point.....who the hell wants to play for Torts. Guys got the shortest honeymoon period in the league. |

It's a mystery how these coaches get recycled. Why not hire a young offensive minded coach instead of Torts?

Because Torts gets results. Albeit for a short period of time before he loses the room. |

I'm just curious if Lou is setting aside $1m for Chara if he decides to come back. - Isleshockeyman
I hope not Chara is toast time to move on. I can care less how great the guy is in the room. |

Watch him sign with Chicago or some team out of nowhere.
I know, he wants to come back east. He'll be a Devil in just over 2 hours. I'd love it if he's wearing an Islanders crest next season, but I'm not getting my hopes up for it. |

The noose tightens in the Blues cap wise. - Wildschwein
In many ways, I think there's a better chance we acquire Taresenko than Gaudreau. Beau would have to be part of that |

Couldnt have been more dissapointed with Chara's performance last season. Awful, and I attribute some of the isles woes to his flat feet and inability to play at this level |

I'll just repeat, JG was a huge Flyers fan and has said on multiple occasions that he'd like to play there some day. Can't underestimate that. |

I liked the signing at first. But yeah, that didn't work. He's just too slow now. |

No but they would have to do quite a bit of cap gymnastics to make his salary work. |

I get it, and it could very well be true. But, if I had to guess, i'd bet that comment was made PT (pre torts) |
