I do not care if he had Philly PJ'S if the team is no good why sign? The Isles are close to his family I believe and are better than Philly.

The guy has always been a huge flyers fan. Has always stated he wanted to be a Flyer. He would be close to his family. Maybe he’s willing to see a rebuild through who knows? I mean it wouldn’t be Tavares signing with the leafs stupid or anything

They are closeR to his family. He is from Salem County down by me. Philly is 30 min from his family. Just saying, I know that's where he's always wanted to play. We'll see what happens

At least JT went to a loaded Leafs team playoff trouble and all. Makes more sense than JG going to Philly.

Just so many different scenarios. He could also be giving the Flyers time to make space for him. I'd say all bets are off at this point. It does at least suggest that the NJD were not frontrunners

Always makes for more money if the word is he going to X, and Y and Z take note. A lot of mind games are played and why not it’s a negotiation.

Eklund now reporting Gaudreau is giving the flyers time to move salary. Ek is everything flyers of course but it’s possible.

I think he read my comment lol.
Fingers crossed, but I'll be just as happy if we trade for Taresenko

Yeah I’m certainly not saying that eklund actually hears that from a source and didn’t make it up himself just saying it’s at least a plausible thought.

I would love Johnny G... but flip side is I wouldn't mind having that $$ to make other moves either.. so still going to assume this isn't happening. Maybe I will be positely surprised.

I'd much rather sign Gaudreau. Tarasenko requires assets to acquire and then we'd have to give him a similar contract next year anyway. Unless we're just going to throw Beauvillier, etc... for one season of Tarasenko

I’m already sexually committed to an Islanders Gaudreau signing today. There’s no turning back now.

Tarasenko does have the injury risk as well. Much rather have JG.

For all we know Lou signed Johnny Gaudreau at noon today and they've both just decided to say nothing, take nice summer vacations, and then Johnny will just show up to camp for Islanders and that's when we'll know.

Cheaper in $$$ but as Chiefs pointed out you have to factor in assets you have to give up in the trade for Tank as well.
