I have no idea what went down with Gaudrea and how serious the Islanders interest. All I know is Gaudreau signed with another team so it was a huge miss for the Islanders as he was a player that could really helped. I do not work for the team so it's not my job to defend the owners, gm, coach, or players. I just want the team to do well. Whether it's Garth, Lou, Neil Smith, or whomever, the team misses out on a big player I will not be happy. I'm not ready to give up the season but this was a very tough day.

I’m sure you could find the video somewhere that big tech didn’t scrub yet. It’s worth a watch

Oh, I’m old enough. I saw it. Framed?? Lol, that’s hilarious. Smoked crack, got his job back 😂

He was the Rags 2nd line center and that was one of their weaknesses. Hence them signing Trochek which is a great fit for the Rags. I wish they would have kept Strome.

Me too. Still can’t believe he didn’t score that empty netter in game 5 vs. Tampa. That changed that whole series.

We missed out. Guy had an 115 point season. I don’t think it’s some NY Post/Ranger conspiracy to bash the Islanders. This is a pretty accurate yet pointing out the obvious part of the article;

“ Columbus general manager Jarmo Kekalainen convinced him to sign in a small market that requires an airplane trip to reach south Jersey.”

Thems the facts.

None of us do. Moreover, none of us has given up on the season. There are still opportunities to improve the team.

It's just frustrating because it seemed like the Isles were close to landing a top FA. It would've been one thing if he went to NJ which was rumored to be the favorite, but to have Columbus snatch him out of nowhere somehow feels worse.

We'll see how the rest of the summer plays out. We all know you can't get any information out of Lou, but it certainly looks like he wants some upgrades. Let's hope he lands them.

Growing up in PA, we can lay claim the the most shocking political video of all time with good ol Budd Dwyer. Worst part was we were home for a snow day when the news broke in with a live feed.
That one ended up being the inspiration for Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot'

Yes on the rebound in front
He had the worst scoring % in the PO I believe. Guy can’t finish!

Does Gaudreau have a pilots license? Maybe he just likes to fly.

Is that the guy who shot himself at a press conference? I saw that on one of the Traces of Deaths when I was a teenager.

Do you think he’ll make it through the, “I really wanted to come play for a competitive team” moment of it without cracking a smile?

I could care less the reasons as this point. We missed out on a top player that could have really helped us that went to a very surprising team. It makes sense to be frustrated. It was a brutal day.

I gave Lou full marks and liked the Romanov trade but more work is needed at forward. Teams around the Isles are getting better so it will not be easy. As nice as the two long playoff runs were, they do not help us in the current situation same as Lou's Cup wins with the Devils.

Yep. He was accused of bribery. I saw it live at 15 years old. He came in with a brown bag. Made a speech about how he was wrongfully accused but couldn't prove his innocence. Advised people may want to leave the room. Then proceeded to pull a gun out, motion for the crowd to stand back and off'd himself. The camera proceeded to follow him to the floor and focus on him. Life changing stuff. Worst part was, it turned out He may have truly been innocent

Yeah wow. On the Traces of Death video they showed it in like super-super-so-mo so it was pretty brutal. We went through a phase of watching all that type of crap, “banned in country” type movies. Lol, teenagers.

Yeah, the Faces of Death Franchise was crazy stuff. You can still find the Dwyer video online.
