Exactly, I was agreeing with you stating there’s no urgency Cap wise to move him as with Vegas and Patches.
Tank may want a trade, (Which we have heard for a couple years now) however he has another year on his contract. Tell him to suck it up, honor his commitment and he can move from St Louis then.
Vegas didn’t have this option.

I hope this is as good as the SERGACHEV move from Montreal to Tampa.

Enjoyed the old footage. Especially the 1984 Canada Cup which I had forgotten about.

His jersey should be in the rafters...

Actually, he looks like he has the potential to be a bottom 6 forward, so maybe Lou gives him a look one of these days.

It is really not. Season has not started and moves can still be made but it's been a rough start.

Cannot expect glowing articles on the Isles based on Free Agency so far.

Nope, and the guy wrote a fairly persuasive article. Additionally, I would add that, while I think Lou deserves some credit for his tweaks to the roster for the playoff runs from 2019 - 2021, his biggest victory was getting Barry Trotz to coach the Isles. Then, after 3 reasonably successful seasons, Barry has one bad year and he's gone.......as Cpt likes to remind us, this has always been Lou's MO, so we shouldn't be surprised. But if Lambert doesn't get the Isles back on track, Lou's decisions aren't going to look too good.

On a brighter note..... If the Isles are going to suck next season, the timing is good. Bedard is supposed to be an exceptional talent.

A fine consolation, yup.

If this team poops the bed to start, I’d even be tempted to start selling before the calendar flips to 2023.

Even if they go into the season as is I don't think they will suck that bad. They may miss the playoffs but they won't be a bottom 5 team. The scariest line in the article was about the Isles potentially being stuck in hockey purgatory. That's a nightmare for any sport franchise.

We’re currently there. Have been since after Trotz’s first season, if not before that. We’re looking at either 1) somehow landing a top 3 fwd without giving up a prospect, key roster player, or anything beyond a few late picks or 2) selling at the deadline when we’re 16 points out and doing mini build. This was our off-season to finally get an impact player. Didn’t happen. Our window is half open and being held up by a screwdriver wedged in the sash. We need that player this season and that’s it
