The sky is falling! the sky is falling! Everyone complaining it's Lou's fault! it's Lou's fault!
maybe, JUST MAYBE, he tried and Gaudreau just didn't want to go here.
Maybe, JUST MAYBE, he tried to get Dabrinkat but they valued the #7 pick more then the #13.
Let the guy do his job. No one has any idea what they're up to. If they stay the same and don't get someone, then don't watch. But some of you just b!tch just to see yourself b!tch.

I still can’t believe you wanted to fire Trotz and can Lou but that’s been your mo from the beginning. Sad.

I am not saying anyone in general. There are just a whole hell of a lot of fans on Twitter or websites that think they know everything that's going on and how bad it is. People just need to let the guy do his job. He's 80. He doesn't give a crap what anyone thinks, he's going to do what he does. Everyone getting on their keyboards to pretend they know what's best is getting old. Most on here are knowledgeable and there are some who think they're Bill Torrey reincarnated.

It’s funny on here if you don’t align completely one way or the other. It’s always extremes like politics today. I agree with what another poster said when they said Lameriello’s greatest accomplishment with us was getting trotz. He’s a great coach. I honestly think the guy started losing the team last season but I believe the first few years he got a lot out of this team. Maybe more then anyone else probably could. Hopefully Lambert can do the same or better.

I like some of what Lameriello’s done and didn’t like some other stuff. Hockey isn’t an exact science. I think you would be a crazy person if you were completely aligned, as a fan, 100% with what a GM does. There’s too many variables to find someone so like minded it would be somewhere around the odds of winning lotto.

I don’t want the guy gone but this is HIS season. Like I said earlier if this season doesn’t break right for him no matter what he does or doesn’t do he won’t be here one way or the other the following imo. He wants to win on his way out hopefully he does.

Yeah there are. It’s a broken fanbase from years of milbury followed by snow. Inaction is not what they want after last season. I’m aligned with that thought process but I’m keeping the faith he will add to this lineup. I don’t think this team without an addition up front is a playoff team in this division. Maybe this team is just as good as the season before last season and last year was a one along with Covid, 13 game road trip, whatever. Maybe a kid will exceed expectations or the team responds to Lambert. For me though I wouldn’t take that chance. He has time let’s see what he does if anything.

I agree with you 100%. Sites like this wouldn’t exist if fans bought into everything their team’s management and coaches do. Frankly for me, this is a great spot to commiserate with like minded fans the failures and to celebrate the Isles success.

There are many factors that go into managing a team. Some are controllable, others aren’t. Who knows what happened with the Gaudreau negotiations. Bottom line, he would have potentially been the missing piece that gets us to the next level. Guys that produce like him don’t hit free agency very often. Lou and co should have made this happen IMO. Make him the offer he couldn’t refuse. As I’ve said, I’m disappointed…but not calling for his head. I do agree if we somehow have another season of missing the playoffs, he will likely be moving on.

It is in a way like politics lately. If you do not agree with the opposition your evil !!! Or worst and idiot.

As a previous poster stated, we need to let him do his job. I do agree with that, he probably has move insight than all of us put together. But this is HIS season...IT is number 4 of his so called 5 year plan. He is running out of time.

No way Trotz would have come here under Snow or Milbury. I'm not a huge fan of Lou but he gave the organization some instant credibility.

Obviously none of us knows what Lou is thinking, but I have a feeling he wants to make a move. The question is if he can find one that makes sense.

He definitely has more insight then us but he did sign Chara last season after the season he had with Washington so there’s that

Thought he played pretty well once he was in tune with the system and the whole team started playing. He certainly didn’t hurt Dobson’s progress and might have even helped it.

Brilliant move. Perfect stopgap for filling the void of puck moving skaters Leddy and Toews.

I said at the time of the signing if he would be used as a 6/7 then it’s fine. Anything else wouldn’t work. A lot on here we’re ok with it.
I guess they didn’t see him play much the year before

He didn’t cost much, but as they say you get what you pay for. He wasn’t the cause of our abysmal season under Lou, but he certainly didn’t help. But I still have faith Lou will get us the pieces we need. We shall see.

Edit: the writing was on the wall the season before I’m Washington for Chara. No idea what they saw in him. Hopefully he doesn’t get resigned, but ironically I won’t be surprised.

He wasn’t the cause but he was certainly a big contributor to it. He was unwatchable for half the season. He got a bit more dialed in towards the end when we were already out of it. Can’t have a black hole playing top 4 minutes.

Marner is a pretty incredible player I wouldn’t even think twice about trading Raty and a 1st for him.
