He's a really fun player to watch - constantly springing himself for breakaways.

Good at generating chances while on the PK (4 SHG last year).

He will be a 2nd or 3rd injury callup, but he was rushed into the show and it's clearly had a huge impact on his career

I have a weird feeling they signed him for his defense. With the comments at the year end presser, management wasn't happy with how this team plays defense.

As of right now, the Canucks actually have a decent forward group, but their defense is still not going to be good enough as is if they don't make changes

That didn't wear well, guess now there will be new material for and against.

To be fair, when you go 3/4 of the year with one of the most historically worst penalty kills ever, it's not too surprising the team is trying to address it with these defensive signings.
