doesn't work that way, you can't bring back the same core.
Miller is deteriorating lucky to get to 50pts, OEL, Myers and Hughes are terrible at defence and overrated by the slurpers, the rest of the defence should be AHL/ECHL talent. Boeser, Pettersson, Horvat, Garland, Hoglander, Podkolzin are lucky to be on a good teams 4th line.
Need to trade everyone, need to do it yesterday because you know all the good offers were soo last week.
JR is senile, Allvin is Benning 2.0, soft muffin, country club team that didn't deserve the 32-15-10 run with Boudreau should blow it up.
These are the comments in here and I get called a trolling ref, can't make this stuff up, it just falls into my lap. - Makita
Sounds like you are talking about 1 person... a person who's comments obviously got under your skin. Most people just roll their eyes when he goes off...

Agree to disagree. I look at teams like tampa and avs, the whole team plays with one identity. I wouldnt describe either as a team with a bunch of role players, rather two teams deep with quality defenders and scorers. Depth is the key. - neem55
Yes, but it took years for them to get there, and they do have role players. It’s just that they’ve been able to upgrade to the point where a prospect can now step in to replace a role as everyone else bumps up the lineup. |

Lol, not at all, I rolled up several frequent posters in here, not everything is being said all at the same time, but collectively this is what most on here are saying to some degree. |

I agree, but I think of this as depth you get from drafting/trading and developing properly. This "upgrading" you keep referring to seems vague. Nick Paul for example has developed from a young trade acquisition into a very solid depth forward quickly. He has the defensive skillset, bit of grit combined with speed they like. Can chip in some points a long the way. They probably see a bigger role for him going forward. As he continues to develop. Draft/trade-> develop ->plug into lineup, repeat.

Nah, questions in goal.
Nichushkin is overpaid
Can they afford Mackinnon? and lost KAdri.
We should just trade our team for Makar straight up. |

Yes, which is known as depth. All of their guys play the same system, theres not really a fighter on either team. Their gritty guys can both score and defend. |

And if you never give your kids an opportunity to play, you’ll never know if they’re capable. As fun as it was watching Alex Chiasson score his 10 or whatever PP goals last season, or Nic Petan and his effective PK skills they could easily have given a gritty kid a chance to sink or swim. |

I’m fine with leaving them to develop as long as is needed, I don’t see “sink or swim” as developing. I’m glad they sent Rathbone back down, for example, as he did not look at all ready. Hopefully he is ready this year. |

I wouldn't mind the Strome brothers on the team in a bottom six role, but not at middle six prices. |

Offered him $11MM per year and he still won’t return. Wonder how our resident flames fan feels about the upcoming rebuild. Calgary should have a fire sale |

Is middle 6 the 2nd and 3rdline,and the bottom 6 the 4th line?
Not really aimed at you, but I see this type of terminology a lot these days and I know there are only 4 lines, so I always get confused by this, and yes, I get confused easily.

Ya, I tend to agree. I would be fine with the Strome brothers as the 3rd line, as placeholders. At least 2 of the 3 are nhl calibre players.
Ryan is more than capable of moving up to 2nd line and Dylan can provide some spit duty there as well, not sure about Matthew, probably more suited as a 4tliner,13th forward. |
