I could see a team trading for Anderson, but mtl may want to keep him.

Read some teams had interest in Dvorak. But again, they may want to keep him, even with Dach.

I don't consider Anderson and Dvorak as bad contracts though. same for Petry. these are decent honest contracts imo.
bad contracts are Byron, Drouin, Armia, Hoffman, Gallagher, Price

Good for him... that is a right fit for him.

Very happy for him. Hard worker, never complained, had great playoffs.

Ok, then we agree.

Of those, maybe they could move Hoffman. Byron may retired anyway for all we know.

Moving Dadonov would be another way to create cap space. No idea if there is a market there.

Yep, that's a good summary.

However, Anderson at 5.5 mil for 5 more years makes me nervous ... I'd trade him while he still has value.

Maybe. But I would assume a few teams are in on him. Not a lot of good C on the market right now.

Just thinking that the flames will have to replace Johnny and have the cash to do so. Who knows…?

And how good will he be by the time this team is ready to compete?

Depends of the offers, I guess.

The Nic Deslauriers deal is 4 years + just under $2m/per season.

Erik Gudbranson to CBJ, four years, $4M AAV.

Trying to out crazy each other now....

are there talks about Byron retiring? I know he's been injured more often than not in the last few years but I wasn't aware it was that bad...

Exactly what I'm thinking ... the age/diminishing performance factor is something to consider.

At this rate, if we get bad news on Price’s health……looks like we could trade that contract to Chicago.

Sorry Gramps.
