We really do owe EK some credit. He called it after the news came out Geno was not coming back. Now if Phil comes back? He'll really deserve it. |

Milano - Zegras - Rakell was elite. I’m sure they would be with Geno too. |

Is Milano the one that hit Zegras flip over the net in? And also almost got in the way of a Zegras Michigan? |

How much do you think he’d cost? He really only has one good season shooting at an inflated percentage but he’s youngish with a high draft pedigree. I have no read on the value of these unqualified RFAs.
Regardless wishlist for tomorrow is a 2nd line wing and a third line forward. We have a chunk of cap and several expendable contracts to chose from to try and unload to create more. Let’s see what happens |

Guys that don’t get QOd are usually cheap. I would think 1-1.5m but who knows. |

I think a lot of teams are avoiding arb by doing this. My guess is around the $2M mark for one or two years.

Honestly don't mind the idea of keeping Dumoulin over Petterson since he's on an expiring deal. If he plays well, extend him for a lower rate next year, if not, let him walk and you have almost $10M in space with him and Zucker coming off the books.
Also would be huge if POJ proves he can handle a top 4 role by year-end and you don't need him back anyway. |

Ok let's not get out of hand with POJ haha. He has to be able to handle third pair first. |

I wouldn't give Dumo another contract. But I do like that thought of keeping Dumo over Petterson for that reason. |

My predictions for the upcoming season...
- If Dumo remains a Penguin, he has a bounce-back year
- Zucker scores 17G/30A
- Geno plays 75 games and scores 30G+ |

If Dumo can not turn the puck over and control his gaps better this year that would be great. Watching him at times last year was JJ level of turnovers. |

I think you keep Pettersson because UFA LD will be thin and it wouldn’t be wise to go into 23/24 with Matheson and POJ as your only LD. |

He was dealing with injuries last year. If he's healthy I think he returns to form.

Well fvck me. Took a long nap tonight after studying all last night, fell asleep with Geno being pissed and gone, and wake up to this lol. So awesome and now all the out of the closet Geno haters can go back into hiding. Trade a LD, sign Marchment tomorrow and call it a day. |

Just dump him for a cheaper 1 year to UFA depth forward with versatility like a Sundqvist. |

I mean if you feel confident you could lock up a Gavrikov or Graves in UFA great but who knows who even makes it to next July. |
