Just dump him for a cheaper 1 year to UFA depth forward with versatility like a Sundqvist. - Feds91Stammer
We'll just sign the great double D lol |

I mean if you feel confident you could lock up a Gavrikov or Graves in UFA great but who knows who even makes it to next July. - Feds91Stammer
We're gonna get Gavrikov at the deadline this year |

No but outside of a change of scenery Sucker for Tatar deal there’s not any logical trade to be made. |

I would prefer Tatar to Tampa to replace Palat if he’s gone. |

Just realized how ironic this really is. Ek has had Geno going everywhere every single year for over a decade and the 1 he actually gets right is Geno staying lol |

I said earlier he deserves some credit and if Phil winds up back here? Then he deserves some kind of award.

I traded Petts to DET for Sundqvist and signed Milano to 2yrs/$2.5M. I left cap space for a deadline deal and it will also carry over to next year for Jarry's raise.

Saw a tweet that Letang, Geno, and Rust now all have an AAV of $5.5 mil together. That is some good cap management by the new regime. |

No worries next year right now, only Jarry/Blue to sign and we will be gaining between 7-12 million in space between Zucker, the drop in JJ's buyout, possibly losing Dumo and a million cap raise. Plenty to keep those 2 and possibly find a LD if needed.

Yes, but if you have extra space from Zucker along with this added space you can extend Jarry and still bring in a decent middle six winger. |

Sounds like Geno just needed some time away from the process (not atypical in these types of negotiations). Glad he had his "Dorothy" moment before free agency started, and decided that the deal that was on the table (4x6.1) wasn't so bad. He probably also saw the negative press he was getting and realized that he would be seen as a hero for staying in the 'Burgh. Congrats to all parties for getting to the "right" resolution. |
