Well that depends if the belief is JG is elite and Provy for example is considered under achieving in relation to his cap hit. The team is opening a hole on the left side of the blue line to acquire an elite winger. Again, it depends if one believes JG is elite. That is certainly up for debate.

No, it really doesn't. Whether Provorov is underachieving or not. In the absence of Ellis, he is still this teams top defenseman. They don't have a replacement for him. They would have no top pairing if Ellis is out. So what would be the point of signing Gaudreau then if it creates that huge hole?

I saw the Dobbie Brothers a few years ago and I instantly thought of Re-run bootlegging the show
- corduroy

That was good show. Odd band to have on and it worked.

Others played the game and Chuck panicked. He is not good at planning ahead. He sees the day in front of him and acts what he feels needs to be done at that moment.

The perfect analogy is that he chases his tail. It couldn't be more obvious. He is a horrendous GM.

If he continued coming back and got his game to where it was before his illness. They may have been able to get a decent future asset for him at the trade deadline. This organization has no clue.

Darren Dregar reported that there is plenty of interest in Oskar on the FA market. Good for him.
- RustyPipes

So trade him?

You didn't understand as you asked the question.

Means I do not have a care in the world and sit on my deck down the shore during the day. This coming from the guy who post during his 15 minute break from the deli counter.

Where you headed?

Interesting. When you cyberstalked JMatchett you were "working in IT". That was 2 years ago. And when you went up to CT and asked ClaudeFather seafood recommendations, you were travelling "for work" . That was a little over 1 year ago.

And you said you lived in Camden this year. Is the Delaware river bank now considered "the shore?"

Zacha traded to Bruins. Wow..... If Fletchy the pantload gets beat by the Devils, he's more of a pathetic loser than I imagined.

Look, I'm only bringing up possible scenerios that could happen to get JG signed. When I wrote, I don't advocate such a path, I thought that was pretty straighforward. Have a feeling this JG saga will be resolved in the next 24 hrs thankfully.

Based on your scenario yes. Total failure.
- hello it's me 2050

Which he would need to be fired.

We can debate what the right plan is but if the number one goal was to make moves and get Gaudreau and you fail there is no reason he needs to make future moves.

I would fire Fletcher. And i would get a completely outside view. Darche is Tampa. I would have said McFarland in Colorado but they promoted him so not to lose him. Go get me one of the AGM in Nashville as they always seem to find talent and develop it. Scott Nichol, Jeff Keatly or Brian Poile.

So that means maybe they can draft at least one player other teams would want during that time?

Yeah I would say that pretty much tells us JG is playing in Newark.

I cant say that I am too broken up about it.

It's not the player nor the money...it's not the right time. They need to stop making the same mistakes year after year.
