He's not the player that Geno is and that's what Geno got paid. And for this floundering franchise it's too much to spend for a team that is going nowhere

Ottawa will make the playoffs this year

- Bob Habib

They're pretty freakin' close, and Geno can't stay healthy to save his life. G is also the better defensive player. And younger.

I'd take G x3 over Geno x4 personally.

I take no credit.

Merely relayed info I had

Not fake sources like these morons in media

Like I said weeks ago good source that made sense. Where the wife goes the hubby goes. Me thinks they probably had deal ready long time ago.

Go to Florida try to win cup then settle down with good young team.

If he continued coming back and got his game to where it was before his illness. They may have been able to get a decent future asset for him at the trade deadline. This organization has no clue.
- MJL

If he doesnt, then you bench him? play all year again in futility?

The term is phenomenal for Ottawa, G is durable.

Here is the issue. The credit was there for the taking. I think the reasons you gave for why a player might sign somewhere made sense. Other sources corroborated it. However where you went wrong was calling it for more than it was. Such as Gaudreau was a done deal for the Flyers. You did not have that information and you know it. He wanted to play for Philly. His wife wanted to stay here but it was not a done deal.

If the plan is to win a cup the road doesn't start with Gaudreau, it starts by improving their financial situation. Someone needs to be the adult in the room! Johnny would be fun to have, but like an ice cream sundae to a diabetic... No No No!

The New York Rangers have signed Vincent Trocheck to a seven-year, 39.375M deal. (5.625M AAV)

He was the fallback for anybody who missed out on Kadri...

Buyin out Lindblom now was a very smart move
- ClaudeFather

When they signed him they knew full well he was going to be a long term project….year one was a write off…the guy had Cancer….they hoped he could find his game in year 2…and near the end of the season I thought he started to play a hell of a lot better…to can year 3 is very poor asset management ….made necessary by other poor decisions.

If an aggressive retool is bringing in and overpaying TDA, then this team really is a laughing stock.

Things are not always as they appear. Giroux is a better player than many think he is. Ottawa has a nice forward group now. Need a little help on D.

I’m not certain on their goaltending either. Talbot is good if he’s healthy. Forsberg was good last year but we’ll see if he can repeat.
