He didn’t have a great team around him really ever. I did however think he’d go somewhere for like 3 mil Aav. What I will say is that we didn’t get enough for him when we traded him. I wish he had agreed to a trade to the Avs. He’d have a cup

The return for Giroux at the deadline was a good one. They got a first and a player who is 23 and a top 10 overall pick in the draft. That was what it was always going to be. 3M for Giroux would be insulting. It's what a decent 3rd line winger gets.

I want to clarify that I am a huge fan of g and do think he was under appreciated here. I just didn’t think he’d sign for that much as he’s on the down side. One note though. Taxes are berserk up here In our socialist paradise so that may have meant he got more.

What I was looking at was trying to get a young top pick rhd and there were rumours out there that he was ina. Package being offered for g. But he didn’t want to go there obviously. Probably family which is fine.

In a couple years he’d look good on our d. Oh well hope Tippett turns out ok
