The team had how long to clear cap space? They were done in December and plans needed to start being made right then and there

It looks like the dream is over for @NHLFlyers fans for Johnny Gaudreau.
Flyers will pivot elsewhere, and it will likely be much more underwhelming then fans hoped.
They've checked in on Kadri, but so are a lot of teams, and I don't think that's a contract that would make sense.

Need to see the deal first, though no issue moving Ivan
- hello it's me 2050

I know he had a down year but he is a top pair defensman. I would need something better then just good coming back. And he signed to a good deal. What does Montreal have? Can you get Kaiden Guhle?

Pivot elsewhere? Theres no one else to pivot to.

Maybe the goal is to have fletcher screw up the way they want and then fire him and blame him. Would be very comcast of them.

As if Fletcher wasn't already close enough to being the modern day version of Mike Milbury....everybody should be concerned with what he's cooking up now

So let me get this straight. A star player wants to come here but the Flyers cannot sign him to mismanagement of the cap. That is the Flyerest thing ever. Action bias in full effect.

Honestly, when/how is CF ever removed? This should be really embarrassing to anyone in the front office of the Flyers. Rock bottom?

Keep in mind I am fine with not signing JG. But pick a damn lane dude.

Worse than that were the people who kept saying there was a market for JVR w/o sweeteners.

I’m checking out on this loser franchise until they make the necessary changes to right this ship.

(frank)ing Fletcher wouldn’t sell off and nor couldn’t even aggressively retool properly. They totally (frank)ing suck. Fire the entire front office.

You forgot calling people a moron. Not to mention that the addition of signing DeAngelo gained the Flyers 1.5M in cap space. It's simple math.

Ivan has what 3 years left on his deal? Again depends on the deal.

If I was Sanheim I tell them I will test free agency. You have to be an idiot to re-sign

Mad Mike's bias for action puts Chucky's to shame. Plus, I could never imagine Chuck beating a guy with his own shoe.

Trading Provorov better net a truly great return otherwise it's a mistake imo.

And if it's related to JG then just don't.

It is really hysterical that CF does not want to give away assets to sign the best player he has access to since he took over. Gave up 6 draft picks for two third pair RHD's but won't pony up for the actual talent.

Again, what does it take to get this guy removed?

Looks like we are going the Hextall method for next season, stay out and pick outside the top 10.

If they can't get JG or Kadri here, who's even left at this point? Phil Kessel?
