No f’n way….not for one more year of JVR
- Sublime55

I agree but I'm shocked CF hasn't pulled the trigger. Wouldn't it go along with the aggressive retool? Right now, CF is in no man's land. Buying out young guys, trading for and signing DeAngelo to a 2 year deal. He's not going one way or the other.

There are teams he’s top 6 on and he doesn’t affect their cap. It’s one year for 25 goals.

Sure seems like Chuck Fletcher is swimming in interest, isn't he?

Gaudreau is close friends with Kevin Hayes and the two had a dominant year playing together at Boston College. Can we just say the Haye is the defacto GM of the Flyers at this point?

Brent Burns is a top pair defenseman? You’re being ridiculous.
- Flyers1218

I don't know... what would you call a guy who averages over 26mins, excels on the top PP and scores over 50 points on a bad team?

There yet may be a market for JVR ... lets wait and see what happens. And what I stated before the DeAngelo trade was that the Flyers are cap compliant right now without making any moves. Obviously if they want to go all in on JG which I don't agree with, they would have to be creative to open up about $10M in cap space.
- jd250

If they were getting Gaudreau, the move wild have been done by now.

He'll get less minutes in CAR but a more steady D partner.

As bad as he is defensively, he's still miles better than Tony Deangelo too lol

After hours of waiting to sign Johnny Gaudreau and failing, the Flyers bring back Cup dropper Nicolas Aube-Kubel so Flyers don’t complain about Zac MacEwen anymore.

Aube-Kubel to Toronto. I love seeing all the teams that are way better than the Flyers that are in a better cap position.

Honestly, Fletcher is so monumentally bad. Historically bad.

Took some time to actually do some work for a while and I come back to see that CF is moving Provorov and the Habs are interested. WTF is this clown doing? You thought our D was bad last year? Wait until this year.

Tony DeAngelo same stats in less games, with 20 minutes a night. Shayne Gostisbehere similar.

That makes them a first pair defenseman? Hmmm, see a lot of crying about DeAngelo though. Must be because he’s a Flyer now.

Try again.

That's not accurate. What you stated is that you refuted that the Flyers will be a cap team and be capped out. You then came up with your simple math formula and how the DeAngelo signing saved the Flyers 1.5M. Only after you were educated on the facts. Did you spin it to being cap compliant. Obviously not understanding that a team can be capped out and cap compliant.
