I'm literally sick to my stomach. This is a franchise that has blinders on to how bad they really are. How incompetent their management is all the way up to Dave Scott. I have to at least be entertained. If they lose but have some excitement and the possibility of a future. I'd be fine with that. With every off season, they just extend the misery further and further.

I won’t lie, I didn’t watch them most of last season. It was Nutter that spoke about apathy and how turning your biggest fans apathetic was the worst thing that could happen.

Now, with the Gaudreau news, whether the individual fan wanted him or not, is furious that they didn’t get him. Not because the team didn’t want him, but because they mismanaged things so badly they couldn’t get him.

I think angry, legitimately angry fans, is worse then apathy. They won’t get a cent of my money until things dramatically change.

Yes. To me he had last summer to attempt to right the ship. He failed….it’s not like he’s done anything this time around that will lead to a different result. It just shows he doesn’t have the ability to lead this team. Another poop show to follow this upcoming this season.

The paying fanbase =/ the Flyers HB base. 75% of the people who go to a given game will not be able to name the roster, imo.

If Comcast was willing to take the long view, they would not have sold the Sixers. My suspicion is that they have an internal revenue floor, Covid has hit them hard, and it is extremely important to Dave Scott that Flyers appear like they are always spending, trying to do something, not tanking etc etc. so they don't seem like they are in the midst of a rebuild. I believe they cannot afford to "say it" because the paying fanbase will tune out. Every time I see that guy, he emphasizes they are committed to the short term ("2-3 players away", "cap team", "retool" etc etc)

I think CF understands he doesn't have the mandate to rebuild. He has to fill seats and last season's attendance figures cannot be repeated. He is playing with a really limited hand and the moves you see are an outcome of that. He is gambling.

We will see, I suppose.

There is no reason this franchise should not have a plan. NO REASON. It's a proud franchise with a loyal fan base in a major market. They should not look like this. It is embarrassing that they look like this right now.
