Ellis is done. He won’t be on team at start. You bury $ on paper in ahl. Day 1 you place Ellis on ltir then move paper and call up. Very easy to do.

Florida also over.

Shall I go on?

Please do. Last season the upper limit was 81.5M. Montreal spent $92,493,917 in cap dollars last year. Vegas $92,076,943. TB $89,214,115

Ok here’s what jg wife said …

Philly had trade holding at draft tk to ottawa.

Ottawa backed out when landing the cat.

Philly trying to move salary without buyout of Jvr to fit jg

They still have deal. Jg WILL be a flyer. They’re just waiting for the moves to be made that’s why not announced.

- Stayin alive

Jesus. He’s doublin’ down.

I gotta say, I almost gotta appreciate the spirit, folks. I don’t want JG on our books for a 7/$77m + deal, but hell, let’s ride this act out.

I thought he had to fold, but no, ‘swami’ here just reloaded and grabbed another huge stack of chips. Tossed em right on in the pot without blinkin.

The best was when he said they will be tougher to play against this year….who knew Nic Delaurier was such an important cog going forward.

Tampa is already set up to be cap compliant! LOL You don't know the cap.
- MJL

You can run back steps with jd50. Not the swami.

It doesn’t matter if a team “is set up to be”

EVERY team will be set up to be cap compliant.

You have to be

You don’t have a choice.

I mean nice try tho.

Haven’t posted in years, but just stopping by to lament that this is the lowest I’ve ever felt with this team. It’s not JG per se, not sure if that would’ve been good or bad (probably bad), but the utter lack of direction or clarity is making it extremely difficult to keep caring about this team. Maybe I’m just getting too old to care about sports, but think it’s more likely that this brain trust just sucks.

Again, you think that he thinks that the moves they made this off season gives the team more flavor? If that is the case, Fletcher is even dumber than previously thought.

As far as the part that doesn't matter. No need for me to do that. The post does it for me.

- MJL

Fine, all in good fun, here is a bet:

1. JG does not come here.
2. Flyers average >90% capacity
3. CF stays for 23-24.

$100 straight up?

No but one of the most connected insiders said it’s over. Your comment on Ellis was funny. I live down the street from him in the summer. I can tell you he isn’t done.

Vegas?

Florida?

Mouth?
No team would be millions over in July.

And yes tampa has had history of being over in July.

- Stayin alive

They all are set up to be compliant right now. You have a reading comprehension issue. What I said that no team would put themselves over by millions with having to make moves later to get compliant. Without knowing if they can make them. Those teams are set up to be compliant. The Flyers if they took on Gaudreau using the 10% overage would not be. I'm trying to educate you here.

You really are a special type sometimes. What a team spent has nothing to do with going over cap in July. Which you claim no team would do.

Give it up.

You are wrong

Just say hey it doesn’t happen often and philly shouldn’t do it.

Or it would be hard to even hit the overage allowance.

Something.

But trying to say jg is a problem because cap in July and buyout of Jvr wouldn’t be enough is wrong

You know it

Everyone knows it.

Just admit it and move on

Do you not see the incompetence that this management team has shown?
- furio16

Yes, they are absolutely incompetent and I am not defending the moves. If this is all we do, you'd think everyone would be happy as unless everyone is healthy, the current team will not be contenders and we will have a better pick next year. I agree with what Bill said and many others have said on here about long term deals, big contracts, etc. I preferred that we just stand pat but I'm not going to lose my mind over a 4th liner and 3rd pair d-man.

Pierre Lebrun, without using specifics, basically is confirming the Ottawa deal with TK that didn’t happen which is why we are where we are at.

Stayin Alive is right, he’s in no rush and there are multiple options to make room, they just want to go down every avenue before the JVR buyout
