they should annonce a contract extention for MacKinnon in the near futture. they'll have a lot less cap space then. but that is for next year.

Hughes had said that the plan was for the youngster to spend next season in North America and that’s what will happen. Will it be in Montreal or in Laval? We’ll get the answer to that question at the end of the real training camp.



I wouldn't mind that much if he started the season in Laval, but at the same time I'd be a bit disappointed if he wasn't already good enough to make the team...

nothing, it's just that the season will already be depressing enough, so not being able to see their top pick in action with the team would kinda suck... anyway, it is what it is.

meh, we'll be albe to watch him with the Rocket, and with the Habs for many many years. 3-6 months of AHL could be good for him. pro hockey, small ice, new country, new city, new team. no hurry what so ever.
