PS: I was not really insulted but I thought I'd go with the current trend of everyone behind insulted by anything. |

In a game I tested, there's a random name generator, with country-appropriate names. I got a guy called Aimable Gros. |

I am here to do this:
They didn't want to pay Dougie Hamilton $9 Million per year until he was 37. They offered him $6.5 per for that length which, yeah, is insulting.
They didn't want to pay Tony DeAngelo much of anything, because his defensive metrics are in the bottom 4% of the league.
They acquired Brent Burn because he scored about as much as Tony did last year, is a bit better defensively, and cost $5.23 million per. Also they gave up less to acquire him than they got for trading DeAngelo's rights.
Now I shall go back into my hole and continue my work transcribing the communist manifesto into klingon. - BINGO!
Long way to admit your team made 3 (three) huge mistakes |

Umph Twitter is down…how will we know if Petry is traded to Seattle this morning?!? How did we live before Twitter?!? - Karine Hains
or to Detroit to be reunited with Chiarot
Columbus would also make sense. |

Detrtoit added on defense already.
Same for Columbus.
I'm not holding my breath here with the deals we have seen so far. |

Always kinda felt this was a trade deadline deal or to a desperate team that had a major injury to their back end.
Also, other than perhaps Burns, the other trades were completely about cap relief, more than a fair trade of value. So I would not judge the possible return for Petry in those contexts.
Habs do not need to trade him, at this point.
Plus, fairly flat cap is not helping.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out, but I do expect him to be in MTL for a significant part of the season. - Mashadar
I think you missed the point. If those guys are not getting value out there, why should Petry? |

Kadri Circus Continues... Teams made proposals and power point presentations yesterday. (They absolutely love when a player wants them to do that..) Today we may get some clarity... Colorado, the Islanders, Detroit, LA, and Calgary are some of those interested.

The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract (2022-23 to 2024-25) with forward Filip Mesar. |

I'm game with Petry coming (staying) on to start the season. The market clearly shows a low return rate right now. On his game, he's our best dman. Get him in, hope he plays well, trade him at the deadline. |
