Good day for the habs not spending like drunken sailors. What’s the deal with Petry and price right now? There was talk Petry wanted out and haven’t heard a lot on the price situation. Think any team would take him on if the habs paid half his salary? |

I don't think retaining 50% would be such a good deal for the habs, unless there's an interesting prospect coming back... if he needs to start the season with the habs to show he can still play before being traded then so be it.
there were rumors that Price would be ready to play to start the year, but nothing official.

Habs know they are rebuilding, so overpaying for players now does not make sense. Good. |

Fair, just looking at the contracts Edmonton and Washington paid for goalies today. Seems a bit steep. I don’t think any oilers fan is confident today that jack campbell will push them over the top
Did price have a setback or something? He looked ok at the end of last year no? |

he looked okay-ish, I think he had a "clean-up" of his knee during the summer, but we have yet to hear from him or the habs about it.

No 100% agree. That was my only thought. I’m sure one team would gamble on him at 6 million if Matt Murray is the answer in Toronto |

the habs would have to add something to move price even with half retained. especially if there is any chance he can play. |

I'm not even sure what a clean-up entails, but I guess that it's a simpler procedure that doesn't require much rehab, compared to being operated... |

No I was talking Carey. Got 10.5 tied up in a guy who doesn’t seem to know what he wants to do. |

scraping of bones spurs, collecting loose bits floating around and cleaning up frayed ligaments and tendons mostly.
also, it is an operation just not as invasive as other procedures. |

Like starting pitchers in the mlb destroy their shoulders and elbows. Like I know it sucks but your not going to have perfect knees Carey being a goalie for 35 years going back to his childhood. |

we can do amazing things today medically speaking but unfortunately bringing a knee back to what it once was still isn't one of them... |

No I get that, but if he feels he can’t play anymore, why not pack it in? Like how long are the habs supposed to remain patient?. He’s got 4 years left, so safe to assume it’s gonna be touch and go with him for the remainder of the contract. That’s not fair to jake Allen. |
