So Larsson is the domino holding everything up? Went to bed TSN had the Palat deal official, 5@6 and now it's just gone. Lack of action last night and today has to be teams holding off to see if Larsson is still available or not lol |

I think OTT is another team looking to add an RHD, but no mention of the other teams of interest. - Rinosaur
Zucker and Marino for Joseph, Brannstrom and a 1st.
Use space to sign Klingberg. Then trade Pettersson, Dumo and two 1sts to Arizona for Chuchryn and Kassian.
Montreal is the other team in on Marino. |

I see someone has been spending too much time on NHL 22 |

Lol.
In all seriousness I think it's Montreal holding things up. Hughes said trading Petry is a priority and they have a few different deals being discussed.
I think one deal is probably one with Pittsburgh involving Marino. Another deal could be one without a RD coming back and replacing Petry with Klingberg.
And of course their other wild card is Price. He's toast but will he LTIR retire or will they trade his contract? They also want to move on from Drouin and Hoffman, possibly Anderson.
I think there will be a chain reaction of moves coming up.

It's the opposite, I haven't played a video game in like 8 years so I am living out my GM mode here. You are welcome.

Matheson, PO Joseph, Friedman all play LD. Rutta plays both. Letang, Ruhwedel and Marino RD.
- Barnaby36
Rutta does not play both. And POJ in the top 4? Bold strategy.
My proposal had us receiving Petry back so PO Joseph would be on the 3rd pairing.

Friedman is the one who plays both sides, not Rutta. And I'm not sure if Matheson does or not. |

Right so you’re forcing an RD that struggled last season to play LD. Brialliant. |

Matheson can play the right side and LD more commonly play their off side. Friedman plays LD because he’s a 7D and those guys just have to play wherever they are put. Apparently the off season is where people really show they haven’t seen players they want play before. |

Friedman primarily played LD his whole professional career even though he is a righty and has no preference on side. |

Josh Norris an eight-year, $63.6M (7.95M AAV) contract with the Sens.
A 3rd year player who hasn't played close to a full season yet, making that? That's basically Johnny G. term and money for what so far is 90 points in 125 games, and only one 30+ goal season.
I hope for the Sens sake it ends up being a good signing down the road and they read their tea leaves correctly, but he should by all rights be making closer to Jake Guentzel money, if even that at this point in his career. |

You talking NHL career? He played plenty of RD in the AHL with Bigras on his left side. |

So who winds up taking Kessel and for how much?
I'm picking the Flyers just becuase I want to see the awesome dynamic between him and Torts.

Larsson seems like a useful guy but again the penguins are not leaving much room at all for their young prospects to earn a spot. o'Connor or Zohorna could do the job for half as much. |

I want to see DOC and Z in the lineup and not on the bench. When Simon was traded I thought for certain Z would be firmly secured in the lineup. |

I would have loved him in a Pens jersey, but $6M is a bit too steep. I wonder if this ups the price for Nino.
I'd swoop up Milano, Strome and Donato.

I'd like it if the Pens would get him but I will go with Dallas or possibly Nashville.

Wait, that’s backwards - this is the first I’m hearing this. The jab can give young people myocarditis. Didn’t he skip the jab? There is so much written internationally about this - I guess except for in Canada. How does a young healthy hockey player suddenly get myocarditis when everyone else who recovered from Covid - didn’t get it? He wasn’t the only hockey player to skip the jab. Which then says the Pens obviously weren’t worried about it if he did have myocarditis - meanwhile that can kill an active person.
This makes no sense. Why sign him?
You can always count on the political snark here with Wilson. 🤦🏼♂️😂 |

Well Gaudreau is kind of a warning for them. These less desirable teams/places to play have such a hard time retaining and attracting talent that you sometimes have to gamble on your own guy and hope they continue their development.
