I would have loved him in a Pens jersey, but $6M is a bit too steep. I wonder if this ups the price for Nino.
I'd swoop up Milano, Strome and Donato. - Rinosaur Agreed, a bit too much for Palat. And I'm thinking there may be deal for Nino done already but not announced yet. For as solid a player as he is, it's really strange that no one has even mentioned a team being interested in him, especially with CAR bringing in Patches and Burns and not having space to bring him back.

You talking NHL career? He played plenty of RD in the AHL with Bigras on his left side. - Feds91Stammer
From ncaa - nhl he’s been primarily a LD |

I want to see DOC and Z in the lineup and not on the bench. When Simon was traded I thought for certain Z would be firmly secured in the lineup. - acdc1206
Doc yes. I'm not sold on Z at all. I'd rather see Poulin, Nylander or even Pustinen get looks over Z.

Sonny Milano "There is plenty of potential here for a middle-six forward who scored 14 goals and 34 points in 66 games for the Ducks last season.
Needs to improve his defensive game, though. Milano started 70.9 per cent of his shifts in the O-zone and still saw half of the action sway to his own end. "

Yeah that hurts. Basically could have made that work if we didn’t target Ruta. |

Don’t know what hex’s final plan is but strome and balcers would of been a hell of a lot better than what he did without breaking the bank. |

Well he needed to want to come here and an offer needed to have happened. I think Hex is either going to go big or go home. There could be a huge deal or hey filled in our bottom 6 with a bunch of meat and potatoes. I think going home will be what happens and he cant pull anything off unfortuantely. So he misses on players like Strome. |

Yea haha I was just saying he can play either side but on the third pair. I like Friedman for what he is, basically a 6-7 dman that was claimed off waivers. |

Yeah, in his case I think unless he was going to get offered a long term contract it's a much better move for him to go to Washington with Backstrom out than Pittsburgh. We wouldnt have got him that cheap. |

That seems to be his MO. I am hoping he has a home run lined up but I could totally see us starting the season with basically the roster we have.
And frankly, we have all considered POJ a shoe in for the lineup but I could also see Hex trading him for a forward on their entry level deal like one of his old guys from LA (Turcotte, Kupari, Villardi). |

If you are not.going to give him a shot, you might as well trade him. I could see him asking for a trade if he in WBS all season again. |

Yeah, I'm really hoping they do give him a chance. But if they can't move one of the other LD they need to just move him to bolster the forward group. |

I could see Z as a 12/13 type just with his blend of size and skating ability. That and playing all 3 forward spots. But that's about it.
Those other guys, if we see them, I'd rather it be on a scoring line. But I feel like Sully will play guys like Archibald and McGinn over them.
DOC couldn't have reasonably been asked to do more, but as soon as some guys were healthy, he was either out or relegated to 4th line with guys that weren't going to generate much offense. He definitely should get a shot at third line with this roster. |

He won't have to, if they try to send POJ to WBS he is getting claimed. |
