Can't wait to see how these coaches run their camp and preseason.

I predicted Green would run camp the same way with no changes after once again he gave his "scoring forwards added so 3 scoring lines" speech then once again refuses to split Bo and Pearson in the pre season stating they are his shut down line. Once again it was one scoring line and multiple two way combinations that couldn't score 5 on 5... I said it the camp the previous season even... Green will never come out of his comfort zone with his lines no matter how much offense you provide him.

You forgot to mention putting a grinder with an (average) offensive player and expecting them to Dale Weiss it up, and then cutting them when they don’t fulfill a role they would never play anyway.

They're both 30 goal scorers. Horvat younger. Has way more positive energy around him with coaches, gm's, players fans and media. Probably a better deal in most GM's eyes...
- boonerbuck

Wins draws at a near league best rate, 200 ft game, probably wants less $. I'd also say much easier fit in a locker room although that's speculation on my part.

I think you'll like Mikheyev but no doubt he'll drive us all crazy sometimes. I'm surprised you don't watch more Leafs games despite your love of hockey. They're a top 10 team in the league so i tend to watch them play other top ten teams.

That series vs TB was mostly fantastic!

Regardless, nice to have a more vet Russian in the dressing room for Podz and Kuzmenko.

To be perfectly honest, I thought Toronto deserved better, in that series. They literally outplayed Tampa for most of the series and got robbed in Game 6. I honestly thought that these playoffs were going to be Toronto's turn.

His game should fit in seamlessly. Looking forward to seeing if more offensive linemates free up his scoring more. The kids 1 year older will improve. A full training camp under BB will help. The PK nowhere to go but up. F depth is better. If the D can be more solid this should be a PO team.

Not showing up for a game really killed them, a lesson they should have already learned. Still, fun hockey to watch.

I have seen 2 Leafs games in the past 6 or 7 years, both against the Canucks.
By all accounts, I think I will like Mikheyev, speed to burn, puck pressure, good defensively and a bit of offense.
Look forward to seeing him on Bo's line.

I’d think Bo’s line but if BB is like me & likes duos with a 3rd wheel I really like the idea of 3 scoring lines happening & each line can hold its own on D. So much depends on the D to be much better on break outs.

I’m already excited to see how the team looks in October. Pettersson is gonna get 90+ points next season #MVP

I think he'll get an opportunity with a better C. I'm not sure his game will mesh with Horvat's but if not there's Miller, Petterson and Lazar. That's pretty good C depth. The wingers are better with the additions of Kuzmenko, another year of Podz and Mickey.

We're deeper up front, about the same on the backend aside from Rathbone.

I think we overtake CGY and the Kings.

Personally, I would love that.

And why exactly are we trading Horvat?

You miss the memo? Politics is for another thread. Once again tell us how letting Miller walk is good. Lol

Should have watched the first round, far more exciting to me than BOS vs CAR.

Because you complain about him so much.

Go get yourself a calculator, a stack of paper and go sit down at a desk. I'm assuming you don't know how to use a spreadsheet.

They're both pending UFA's and we have limited cap space. If the management team can move out another contract to sign them both then good for them. If not, one of them is gone.

VGK doesn’t scare me. Sure they added Jack but they just are not what they once were.

Miky Miller Boeser
Pod Petey Garland
Hog Bo Kuzmenko
Dlcky Lazar Lockwood

Idk what to do with Pearson atm.
Hog could improve or the doghouse. Those lines are fluid & I will most likely change them closer to the season starting.

Oh ya sorry lol just saw makita's posts.

I respect him greatly.

To clarify the Miller situation is a tough one. We are in a position to play good Hockey next year under Boudreau but at the same time folks want 4 players for him. I for one am not ready (yet again) to go through another 3-4 years while the picks and prospects we get for Miller pan out or not. He's not Matthews lol. I've said this since day 1. See where next season goes and move him at TDL if you have to. All else will fall in line.

His speed is unreal. Easily the fastest on the NUcks probably. Gonna be exciting but there will be growing pains as he slots in the line up.
